The two meet in town and since then Bjorn had an interest in the maid.

Bjorn was rejected in his advance the first time, the viking was taken back.

“What’s your reason? Too soon or something?”

“Why don’t you figure it out?”

(Name) replied back as she went back to work only to frustrate Bjorn.

However, the big viking kept thinking of his interest words all thru the night.

Bjorn figures it must have had to with him being a viking and leaving.

So Bjorn made (Name) a promise that when he left he would bring back either jewelry or money so she wouldn’t have to work.

However, when Bjorn came back he came back to the village the viking came back just in time as pirates had invaded the village.

By luck and great timing did Bjorn manage to save (Name) from the pirates that were trying to rape her.

A knight in shining armor of sorts.

Bjorn certainly has the maid’s affection now.

Thorkell✨

“I don’t care how strong and powerful you are. I’m not going to be your one night-“

The maid was interrupted as the giant Thorkell stomps his foot and lays on his back kicking his feet.

Throwing a viking tantrum.

Thorkell will try to show that he’s faithful and loyal by staying beside the cute village maid all the time.

“Good night Thorkell.”

“Good night my sweet little dove.”

Thorkell waves goodnight while “acting” love struck, fluttering his eyes and blowing a kiss.

Days turn into months and Thorkell’s crew are getting restless so Thorkell has to move on but he promises the maid he’ll be back.

“Thorkell, before you leave..could I ask something of you?”

“Name it.”

“My parents are in London do you think you could give them this letter?”

Thorkell sees a folded piece of paper, he looks at it, nods his head and says his farewell.

A few months passed and Thorkell returns with a letter from (Name)’s parents.

(Name) hadn’t heard anything from her parents in some time, she was worried about them.

(Name) is honestly touched that the Viking did something so sweet.

When she gives the giant a kiss Thorkell passes out and Thorkell’s men are stunned.

“She defeated the boss!”

“Bad ass!”

“She must have the strength of the gods!”

(Name) smiles to herself knowing it wasn’t the strength of any gods, it was love.

Full Headcanon:

Gascoigne was very warm blooded in life, even before the beastly curse effected him. Viola and him cuddled quite often due to this, and she often enjoyed feeling encapsulated in her husbands large arms and body and warmth. When Gascoigne became a hunter and would come home wore out from hunting, his family would often pile in around him and rest with him. As he became more beastly and furry, he would often growl and groan in his sleep and nuzzle his family out of instinct. And on that fateful night when Viola left to find her husband, he embraced her one last time before the beast took hold.

Henryk was not particularly touchy feely due to his exceedingly long life and weary nature, but loved Gascoigne as a son and viewed his daughters as grandkids, and Viola as a daughter in law. Some nights after long hunts, when he felt he needed people around him or else he’d go a bit mad, he’d find an excuse to stay with the Gascoigne family for the night. At first he’d simply find a chair in the corner of the room to sit in and fall asleep. But after Viola talked to him once or twice he eventually would come to join them in their impromptu cuddle piles. Sitting around the table eating breakfast with them the morning after like a well loved grandpa. When he eventually lost his mind, one of his last fond memories was of being embraced by his loved ones.

Drew a tiny comic to feel better but I just love the idea of Gasc reading to Maddy when she was little from an old book of Yharnam fairy-tales, and after Bo is born he’s already lost his eyes but he’s mostly memorized the stories from when he read to Maddy. He still holds up the book so they can turn the pages…and they correct him when he misremembers a part of a story. He gets that Trademark Gascoigne Fake-But-Not-Totally-Fake Grumpy™ at them.

and don’t mind the comic sans book title. it was making me laugh.
