hello sweet Bethanines. after receiving many "asks" that seem to point to the same conclusion (that being a rather grave misinterpretation of my divinicotinely ordained ethos on this blog) i believe it very important to clarify the Principles of the Bethanine Order.

i seek not to cast blame upon you, sweet Bethanines. perhaps the root of these misinterpretations comes down to my own authorship of these "Posts", perhaps some may need to work on their reading comprehension. i cannot know which it is for certain, for i am biased in my own favour you see.

with that, i would like to state clearly:

I, Bethany Cigarette, do NOT endorse the smoking of cigarettes. I do not encourage anyone to start smoking, nor wish to goad them into continuing.

through mine blessed lungs, i take upon myself the Maledictions of the Leaves to spare the masses from the taint brought on by the cig of rette, that they might be granted the time to turn away.

ooc: seriously i dont want anyone thinking i want to goad them into smoking, and even though this is a very obvious joke blog i wouldnt even want to jokingly promote that kind of addiction.

i created bethany cigarette as a way of helping myself recover from my own nicotine addiction. essentially whenever the craving for a cig got stronger i'd make a bethany cigarette post instead of reaching for the pack, and it worked surprisingly well lmao.

all this to say that while im sure everyone following knows that this blog is a joke, it still felt a little wrong every time i saw someone interpret bethany as "pro smoking" because that's not the message i want to convey through this character.
