Well, concrete has several important uses in architecture and construction. It is both used just for the foundation or the walls, and it is also used as a stylistic device, such as in the Brutalist movement, where houses have been made entirely out of concrete.

Concrete has been used for a very long time already, for example the Pantheon in Rome is made out of concrete.

Out of the newer types of concrete mixtures, there is “Lichtbeton” (translucent concrete), which allows light to pass through the concrete so that the interior is still illuminated by daylight. Many of the leading companies that produce this kind of concrete are located in Germany.

This is the documentary of the making-of ALL AMERICAN TRASH and it’s honestly one of the main reasons I really got into them, it’s such an inspiring story and it’s so crazy how far they’ve come. I’m so proud of the boys and I really hope I can meet all of them one day
