You gave them meaning, meaning I know I’ll always associate with you. You showed me in that brief window of time that you were capable of changing everything, of giving all things a new, beautiful meaning. You set it back down and didn’t even realize that I was already wrapped around your finger. It was just a red lighter, but it was enough to push me over the edge. Free falling. With no parachute and no fear of the impact. Falling, so safely. Falling for you. Falling with you. And it was only a red lighter.
