Essence of Life (Intro/Open)
Once more a creature of darkness, itās one eye shining brightly at the pale girl, hauled her over itās shoulder. A young, horned boy yelled in protest, taking his sword and thrashing wildlyā he was too slow. 3 more came and knocked him on the ground. The girl stayed silent, but the terror on her face was obvious. Her little hero was overwhelmed, and she was slipping beneath the darkness. Just as he got up, yelled her name and make a dive for the black portal, her pale, luminescent hand was sucked into the darkness.
Yorda was not quite sure how long she had been asleep, nor where she had awoken. She was on a bench, the town around her bathed in an almost holy light. It was quite beautiful. Behind her a statue of a winged horse made homeā aĀ PegasusĀ if she remembered correctly. The stories of her childhood had been so long ago. Glancing around the square, two thoughtsĀ occurred.
One: Where was Ico?
Two: Where was the castle?
The girl stood from the bench, bare feet touching the cobblestone warmed by the sun. Overall it was a beautiful city, but the young girl merely wanted to see Ico once more, even if it was in that dreadful castle. Walking towards someone, Yorda reached out, but was brushed off. Ah⦠But she needed helpā¦
Loki had already become bored.
The island was rather beautiful, but he deserved no less than that--- after all, many considered him to be a god, and he certainly behaved like one, himself. If all went as planned, and he was certain things would, then he would make use of his unexpected arrival... and he would require others to serve him, but the place was teeming with mortals.
However, his attention was drawn to a lone figure nearby. Loki turned his gaze to the small girl, staring down at her. She seemed so small.
Slowly sauntering over to her, he stood before the pale stranger. "You there..." Why he was wasting his time with someone who appeared to be hardly more than a child, Loki did not know (then again, he could be considered ancient, so most people were children in his eyes). Perhaps she could be of some use to him.
"What business have you here?"
It appeared as though she'd wanted help from someone. The nerve of some humans.. Of course, Loki had no intention of assisting her, no, but he had to admit he'd become curious. There was something about her that seemed.. most definitely different from all the others there.
