Elvis Presley cuts his first cousin Gene Smith's hair in his dressing room during production of the Paramount Pictures/Hal Kanter musical drama Loving You in 1957. ✂️ Gene was Elvis's mother's sister's son, born six weeks before Presley and his twin brother Jesse (who died during childbirth). Due to their closeness in age and the loss of Presley's brother, Gene and Elvis were extremely close during their childhood and remained bonded (with a few road bumps) for the rest of Presley's life.
