After how last year’s musical ended with Midge, I’m honestly just so happy that all our riverbabies got a chance to just be kids and put on a musical and have fun before going back to all the chaos their parents have created.

Another thing that I just LOVE about Seventeen is the way they both see a way to get out of that whole mess that has fallen upon their lives.

First, Betty is the one to suggest them to be normal. She tells him that, no matter what’s happening, they should just act like they’re seventeen and live their lives together inspite of everything else.

She’s telling him they can be normal together, but at first, Jug doesn’t seem to believe they can actually do that.

So, she keeps on talking, and then, he starts reflecting upon their situation and how beautiful her idea actually sounds and how they can actually do something as simple as act like their own age for once.

And THEN, he finally realizes they CAN do it, and they can be normal kids who do all that simple and normal stuff together. He realizes that as long as they’re together, they can get rid of that mess.

They can go through it all together.

And that’s when he finally turns to her, willing to hop on that train with her so they can live together and ignore everything else.

AND THEN! That’s the cutest part! When he finally accepts her idea, she smiles because she knows he chooses her over all that madness in the same way she chooses him! They can and WILL live happily together!

They unite in their own way, not giving a crap about anything else. They just want to be teenagers and enjoy the purity of their young love! They’re happy and they know that, no matter what, they will survive this town as long as they have each other.

Their love will let them be seventeen for as long as they want. It will be hard, but they will make it.

Their love for each other is stronger than anything Riverdale might throw at them.

And I’m crying now. Oh my.
