Damn. If only he were as convincing as he was entertaining. âEh, itâs not that important, anyway,â He said, waving a hand dismissively at her final answer. Sometimes it was annoying how she seemed to talk down to him all the time. Was it so hard to believe the boy might want to read a book? âGuess Iâll stick to my usual hobbies of starting food fights and, uh, sticking thumbtacks on teachersâ seats,â He deadpanned.
Her eyebrows raised. âWhile I donât condone any form of your... recklessness, those seem a little cliched. Iâd expect something a little more creative from you.â She tilted her head, looking him up and down as his sarcasm flew quietly over her head to join all of the other subtle insinuations that she had missed in her lifetime.
