Mujina’s disguises

Scum of humanity were everywhere, as sad as it was to realise; even the so called afterlife did not seem void of people who would trick and cheat each other, for own gain and selfish benefits. Not that he was one to talk, alas, as when it came down to it, he was no better than the shady pickpocket roaming around the streets. Perhaps his victims were unaware, but to a trained eye like Tadashi’s the male stuck out like a sore thumb. Thievery in broad daylight, huh? What had the world come to.
Many people would have looked the other way, but the teenage observer had too strong a sense of justice to simply let it pass by. Plus, it had been a while since he had last had his fill. If he wasn’t careful the headaches would start again and he wasn’t sure he’d be able to control himself.
Hands reached to pull the hoodie over unruly hair and with a few steps he caught up to the pickpocket. A slight bump into the other, a hand so swift it was barely noticed, an apology and the loot was now his. It wasn’t much -- the owner of what appeared to be a phone had long gone out of the boy’s range of view -- but at least Tadashi -- or perhaps Mujina would fit better under the circumstances -- could rest well knowing that a bastard hadn’t got a bit of undeserved pocket cash.
“ So... What exactly am I gonna do with this? ”
Turn it over to the police if such an organisation even existed in this place? No, without an inside source they’d just be wary of him and he didn’t want to catch the eye of the officials just yet.
Gaze resting on a small girl who couldn’t even be in her preteens yet, curiosity rose within Tadashi who was not used to seeing someone so utterly engaged in the screen of their mobile phone. She appeared to wander back and forward a few times before finally stopping in place only to repeat the process again. Figuring he might as well, he approached the girl, crouching down to her height level.
“ Hey. Can I ask what you’re doing? ”
Hello people of Amaranh, I am Shino and my hobbies include trolling people and impulse apping. Please take good care of this boy of mine because he’s very important to me. Also like this post and I’ll whip you up a starter from Tadashi!

Navigating through the city for the sake of completing the mission had been a wild ride of its own, one that had triggered a heart murmur that she’d hope her partner would forgive her for later.
Her medical condition aside, and perhaps the rude awakening to a whole new city and life awaiting her, it seemed like a pleasant place to stay for the time. Which was how she was already busy entertaining some children, twirling and dancing to a beautiful rhythm she hummed. Arms were raised with practiced precision, not even her fingers lost their form at any point.
Eventually, however, the show ended, and she was left with the presence of someone who had entered the scenes when she wasn’t quite aware. Hands placed themselves on her hips for support as she took in a refreshing gasp of air, a quirk on her lips despite the exercise she didn’t ask for.
« I wasn’t aware I had another audience. » Came the cheerful chirp, as she gave a playful curtsy. « Another round for the gentleman? »
Pain. An emotion far too familiar to the teenage boy. But not a pain in the physical sense; it was as if his mind was starving, longing for the thrill, seeking out the next prey. He hated this. Hated the pain, hated himself for the thoughts that would enter his mind when he was in this state. A mint tossed carelessly into his mouth seemed to calm the thoughts, but the intervals were getting shorter and shorter.
He needed to get a business up and running in this places, and he needed to do it fast. Otherwise he wasn’t sure what his actions were going to be anymore. A new city, new faces, types he didn’t know about and had never encountered before. It was a challenge, but it was one he had to take.
However, the hum filling the air caught his attention, and soon the boy known to the underworld as Mujina found himself getting intrigued, drawn in. What he beheld was a beautiful woman who seemed to lost in her own world to even notice that she had an audience. Slightly tagged breathing however did not add up to the precision and professionalism of those moves, and he could only guess what could be the cause behind. Asthma was one. However, there were plenty of far more concerning situations that could be present.
The moment she spoke to him, Tadashi lost control of his mind. With an applause the Mujina’s powers spoke through him.
“ Marvelous! That was truly breathtaking. I’m sorry I didn’t let you know I was here before, but seeing someone like yourself, so gracefully dance without a care, I just couldn’t halt you! Have you ever considered going professional? I know a guy in the business who can get you far. He’s not cheap, but someone with your talent could easily make back that amount, if not doubly so without any problems! ”

-- Bumping into one another on a crowded street on a busy day sometimes couldn’t be helped. It was only a light bump to the shoulder, a hand slid professionally into a pocket, a quick glance inside the wallet, memorising of all important details, and then a small yelp.
-- “Ah-- Sorry, did you drop this?”

Deception was a game Pan knew all too well. He was a boy of many talents, and lying was only one of them. Still, it came as some delight to see a fellow soul travelling their way across the plains of Eternity, scamming others in their path.
Watching the other boy tell an outrageous lie, Pan’s mind began to work its magic. With a few quick steps on his feet, he reached a place beside the stranger and let his arm fall upon their shoulder in an all-too-companionable manner. ❛i wager i can HELP you, laddie.❜
-- Pain was an emotion that had been a constant ever since he arrived in this place, a splitting headache he had not felt for years. His mind felt like it was tearing itself apart from within, and it took every ounce of concentration he had to keep his face straight as he worked his magic. With this he was going to be alright, right? With this the pain would stop.
-- Amaranth the place was called and he had quickly come to realise that the wealth he had attained in life had no meaning to him now. But even in the afterlife, people were still people. He just had to find a way to cater to their emotions. “I had an argument with my partner and ran away from home. They’re this super scary person so I don’t want to go back or I don’t know what will happen to me... I haven’t eaten for three days and I don’t know what to do anymore--”
-- It should have been simple. A wedding ring on the woman’s finger spoke of a family, but upon ringing the doorbell only shoes and coats for one were visible inside the house. Pictures of happy days were decorating the walls and he could only assume that eternity had not been kind to the woman. Had she lost a child around his age, appealing to fill that gap was ony a matter of smooth words and of course a little persuasion -- the thing about the Mujina’s powers was that no matter how outrageous the lie, it would sound plausible to the person being subjected, almost as if they were bewitched. He’d just need a bit of food, some easy cash to get started on and he’d be out of there before she could even notice something was wrong. A hand on his shoulder however took Tadashi entirely by surprise.
-- Eyes darting backwards, he could only stand by idly as those words crushed all hope he might have had of infiltrating the stranger’s home. If a man of goodwill came by to help him out, there would be little reason left for the woman to go out of her way. But that hadn’t been the point of this. Suppressing another throb, he gazed at the newcomer, and his mind reached a blank. Although a master at reading people, he could not even figure out where to start with this person, and that was perhaps the most off-putting. Masking his distress with a sheepish smile, Tadashi let a hand run to the back of his messy hair. “That’s very kind of you.”
Boy do I like picking up characters no one have ever heard about.
Hit that like button for a small starter from Muji. No cap.
ツ✖♥☹
ツ: A guilty desire of theirs.
;; Simple as it may sound, if there is one thing Tadashi desires more than anything else, it is to be able to live an honest and peaceful life. What seems a natural part of life to others, is to him nothing but an unreachable dream.
♥: How they show affection.
;; For as far back as he can remember, he has never had anyone to show affection to. He has always been alone without anyone to rely on or turn to, so affection is one of the emotions he lacks. No parents, no girlfriends, no anything. He doesn’t truly understand the feeling, but he knows that he values his comrades as a con-artist, even whilst knowing that what they are doing is illegal. When it comes down to it, the only affection he knows how to show is simply by being with his comrades, both in fun and in danger.
☹: A thought that makes them sad.
;; That Kuon should be exposed for helping him out and no longer be able to continue working as a policeman.
✖: A trait they despise in people.
;; There are many types of characters that Tadashi abhors. People who trick and deceive others out of their money are very high on the list, which is very ironic considering that he himself is a con-artist. But if there is one trait that he absolutely despises in a person, it is those who hurt others for their own personal gain. Despite his profession Tadashi is a very kind person, and he loathes seeing innocent people incapable of standing up for themselves. Especially people who hurt or endanger children are people he will do his best to bring justice to and ruin completely, a result of growing up in an orphanage that was created merely with the purpose of extracting money from the state and not to give the children a safe haven.
Headcanons!

Seeing as everyone else is doing intro’s I’ll jump on that train. Hello there, you may know me from other groups as Matantei, and here I shall be your local loser who muses half the characters in the group. It’s nice to meet you all!
Tadashi here is from a pretty new and really unknown series but I hope you’ll enjoy him and my portrayal of him anyway!
Hey guys, Matantei here with well, another muse. Like for a starter from racoon boy here perhaps?
