He was staring. He wasn't even afraid to hide it. His eyes were locked on them - mainly on that death date. He couldn't help it. He was.. intrigued, to say the least. Why did that say zero? "Chara." He said after a couple of moments, his eyes falling to hers. "Are you dead?"
Chara looked at the strange man. They were confused as to how he knew they were dead?
“Yes I’m dead, how did you know?”
@beyondbackup
Beyond smiled a little at her words, an even more at that smile. This kid. Ten years older than they looked. He never thought he’d be intrigued by someone like them.
”Most people are unsettled by me. You’re not questioning what I’ve said, either, you’re just answering my questions, as if you’re in no danger at all…” He hummed a little, “Aren’t you curious? The date, how I know your name..? From what I can tell.. you aren’t.. unintelligent. You’re certainly not bright, but you have the ability to naturally question the motives of others. So tell me, Chara. Why aren’t you?”
“Well, the only reason I didn’t question you about, how you know my name and ‘date’ is because you seem to know all of that just by looking.” “Besides, most people already know my name already, so whether or not you have that kind of ability, I wouldn’t question it really…” “So…” In a childish tone now. “That’s how I know!”
That’s what Chara said.
So not just a dumb child. Something about them still intrigued him, but– the other part of him simply wanted to do what his instincts wanted him to do. Test her. Could they still die, or did this technically mean they were immortal? They obviously didn’t age, unless there was something they weren’t telling him… Either way, Chara was just a mystery goody bag wrapped up in a sense of painful normality. And he didn’t like it.
“Okay.” He chirped, after a moment, standing up. He stepped towards Chara and bent down, red-tinted eyes firmly trained on theirs. “Does this mean you can’t die? Do you know? I’d very much like to put it to the test, if you haven’t done so already.” It wasn’t phrased like a threat. And in B’s mind, it wasn’t necessarily one either. He was curious. If they couldn’t die, then did that mean they were stronger than the God’s of Death themselves? Oh, he couldn’t help but smile at the thought of that.
