Introducing Fofafa! Fofafa is a freelance artist and illustrator specializing in fictional world building and its utilization of realism. As a recent undergrad with an emphasis in painting, Fofafa studied fine art in the United States and Italy. Her personal work includes narrative writing and focusing on “cute” culture, cinematography, and historical costume design. In 2015 she started the Daily Toph project and has drawn Toph every day for the past 1300 days. Now she is rewatching ATLA and drawing every episode. Interview with Toph & Ty Lee actors

i listened to the interview with Jessie Flower (Toph) and Olivia Hack (Ty Lee) with @beyondbendingpodcast 

i recommend you guys listen to the entire thing but hear are some interesting things mentioned 

Bryke and Nickelodeon were on the fence about partnering with Netflix.

Bryke is scouting sectors of Northern Asia and Southeast Asia for the Earth Kingdom and Fire Nation.

 No caucasians will be cast

Bryke wants to hold a world wide search (with video auditions). There isn’t going to be Hollywood nepotism unlike the live action film. 

Casting will likely be mid fall. Production will start in the spring.

CGI, green screens and created models will be used to immerse us into the show. 

Ty Lee was original voiced by someone else and Olivia Hack went into the studio and voice matched to an already animation episode.
