We all experience some trauma that debilitates us. That makes us want to lean into the darkness and set the world on fire. Trauma can really have its way with you. Leaving you bitter and empty. Ready to serve up the next person you meet to the flames still burning. Burning the next one and the next one till it becomes all consuming. Not realizing you’re now just like them. The person that once tore into you. Left you engulfed in the flames of your own burning building. It’s still burning. YOU’RE STILL BURNING. And now you light up every single MF that comes near you because of what that one person did to you.

Dear me,
I love you. I’m so sorry I neglected you. I’m sorry I left you when you needed me the most. I’m sorry I put someone else on a pedestal and left you to rot on the floor. I’m so sorry I allowed you to believe you were less than you were, invaluable, and worthless. You are so much more! A chameleon diamond the rarest of her kind. A virtuous woman to be treasured, honored, and protected. I’m so sorry I failed to protect you. I failed to put you first. I’m so sorry I used you repeatedly to take care of others, but never taking the time to nurture you myself. To give back to you for all that you were giving. I’m so sorry for losing you… for breaking you… but, from this moment on I vow to love you unconditionally. To give you grace when you make those mistakes. To love you extra when you need it.
