Sami, I like the point you bring up about slaves being the real reason plantation owners have power. You state the irony in how the power roles are reversed when the white people need something from slaves, like having their children breastfeed or their houses kept. Without slaves, or the accepting of slavery, our American history would have surely been very different. It's angering and astounding how racism and oppression based on skin color is still prevalent in today's society.
