002 . BACKSTORY .
with both parents working in the medical field , life for bianca has always been comfortable . living in toronto as the only child of daniel & lonh , bianca lived in an expansive home that was comfortable for the small family of three . while growing up , bianca’s life was consumed by her parents’ hectic schedules , but they always made it up to her by consistently being there when she needed them , i.e. at her track meets or at any other event that bianca wanted them to attend .
bianca , like most children of privilege , liked to flaunt what she had . she didn’t attend the best school in toronto not to . with good grades and exceptional athletic prowess , it was no shocker that the then sixteen year old bianca committed to attending stanford university . bianca had been ecstatic to attend stanford , & kept up with her training throughout her final years of high school to ensure her place . unfortunately for bianca , her dreams of running track had been snatched when a sudden knee injury got in the way . originally , bianca deferred her acceptance to stanford while recovering from surgery , but it turns out that she needed more than a year . actually , she wouldn’t be able to run ever again .
for the first six months , bianca pretended as though she was fine . she pretended as though losing out on her dream hadn’t been a big deal , but it was . with parents in the medical field , there was always the constant reminder that she needed to not put pressure on her knee . to not over exert herself , to be careful . bianca made the decision to leave toronto after a year of running from her problems , getting a new start in vancouver . although only an hour away from home , the distance was much needed & appreciated . however , the move also led to bianca being a lot more frivolous with the money that her parents provided for her . with rent & basic necessities covered , her monthly allowance was spent erratically : postmastes , saint laurent , bar tabs , repeat .
with her parents monitoring her spending habits & originally letting her get away with it in hopes that things would change , the sudden decrease of her spending limit from a smooth $10k to a measly $4k made bianca sober up quickly . her parents , wanting to see some responsibility from their daughter , required for her to get a job & at least take some general courses at ucb , which she’s doing now . right now she’s in her junior year of studying gender , race , sexuality & social justice while also working as a part time barista .
as for her personality , i don’t know why i draw so much energy from the positions album but i do NVCBVH . can be kind of bitter about things sometimes & she gets upset when people ask about her scar , so don’t do that . can come off as very nonchalant & can be kind of infuriating because she doesn’t give up . when she’s set her mind to something then there’s a high chance she won’t stop . overall , she’s relatively full of life & energy , so if you’re in need of someone who will boost your spirits , then she’s your girl ! truly gives vlogging youtuber x12 vibes . she can also be kind of mean , not in an overbearing way , but she can still get a little snippy at times .

fresh out of the shower after an eight-hour gig downtown, her hair is dripping wet onto her t-shirt ( which honestly might be her ex’s that she forgot to give back , but that’s NOT her concern right now ) as she rummages through the community kitchen’s fridge for a late night snack. a noise behind her makes her flip on the kitchen lights , hand still gripped around a container of milk. “ jesus, you scared me. ” thankfully , it’s not an intruder , though the other person might as well be. lucky turns back to the fridge , replacing the milk and pulling out berries and whipped cream before closing the fridge and sliding the container to the middle of the island. “ hungry ? ” the femme questions. “ there’s probably enough left to share. ”
leave it up to bianca to be awake in the middle of the night . granted , it has a lot to do with the fact that she’s been a night owl since she can remember , but the main point is that she’s getting finished with a late night workout that’s guaranteed to knock her out after a shower . the best part about opal is the community kitchen , where she’s able to snag as many fiji waters as she’d like , which explains her sitting in the dark . ‘ what , afraid of the boogieman ? ’ bianca promptly tosses her finished water bottle into the recycling bin , standing up to grab another from the fridge . ‘ boo , ’ she giggles while smoothing a hand over her ponytail . she settles herself down onto her chair once again , and crosses her right leg over her left . she eyes what’s being pushed towards her . ‘ no , thanks . i don’t eat fruit after a workout . they taste weird . ’
