I feel like woke circles don't bring up the "global east/global west" nomenclature enough. It lowkey highkey took me until adulthood to figure out which is which because I never found cardinal directions natural + the earth is round so????? You can't call something east or west because it depends on where you currently are????? I did figure out eventually that europe is the center of the world for some reason (colonialism) but it's still fucking stupid. Like lowkey I know america is left of europe on the usual map but my brain still tells me that left is east. And if I go the long way around it is 🤷‍♀️.
