This Saturday Bici Coop is providing free bike valet service for Happenin Fest at Good People. Ride your bike right up to the door, and we'll take care of it for you while you enjoy the show. Want to go for free? Volunteer for couple of hours hanging out and taking care of bikes, and then get in for free to see the Black Lips, Turbo Fruits, Pujol and more! Message [email protected] for details.
Bici Bikes to Work!!
Who’s ready to party on May 2nd?!
Heartbrakes this Saturday at TrimTab!
Saturday, March 7th
Trim Tab Brewing Company
2721 5th Ave. South,
Birmingham, AL 35233
6:00pm registration, 6:30pm ride
Bikes, Brews, and Beautiful People abound at the Bici Heart Brakers Spring Fling!  This year we’re doing a canned goods ride.  Starting at 6:00pm at Trim Tab Brewery teams of two will venture onto the streets to collect the best goods and donatable items.  We’ve got a great list of spots for you to hit, but the route you take to get there, and what you buy inside, is up to you.  They’ll be plenty of give-aways including messenger bags and t-shirts.  Post-ride celebration at Trim Tab open to all starts as soon as cyclists get back.
This is a night ride, so make sure to bring lights and a helmet. All ages and skill levels are welcome.
Free to party. $5 to ride.
Shop closed Feb 19th.
The shop will be closed tomorrow night due to the extreme cold. Sorry for any inconvenience. Stay warm y'all!
Bici wins Birmingham FEAST grant.
Bici was awarded the Bham FEAST micro grant (part of Design Week Birmingham) last Saturday night. There were some really great ideas presented so we feel very honored to have been chosen. With this grant we are planning on purchasing an enclosed trailer to become a mobile bike shop and learning station. We are excited that this project will help expand Bici's outreach ability. Thanks again to Design Week Birmingham and everyone who believed in our idea enough to support it with their vote.

Garden Tour Bike and Brunch October 5, 8:30 am Jones Valley Teaching Farm
Come join us October 5 for an easy-paced group ride to Jones Valley Teaching Farm’s (@jvteachingfarm) school gardens, or “Farm Labs” as they are called, at several Birmingham city elementary schools.
Distance: about 16 miles, stopping and touring school gardens in Woodlawn, Avondale, Southside, and downtown. Water will be provided at the garden stops along the way. Brunch will be provided at the farm finish. Â YUM!
Start & Finish: Jones Valley Teaching Farm (JVTF), located at the corner of 25th Street and 7th Avenue North.
Meetup: 8:00 at JVTF so you have time to pay, snack, fill water bottles and socialize before we...
Roll out: leave the farm at 8:30am.
Co$t: for the brunch and bike tour is a tax-deductible donation of $25 or more to Jones Valley Teaching Farm.
This donation can be made on the day of the bike tour, or prior to the event on our fundraising page:Â https://www.stayclassy.org/fundraise?fcid=250574
Proceeds from the ride will go to Jones Valley Teaching Farm's online campaign to expand their Good School Food Program.

Bike to Work Day
Tomorrow is national bike to work day and the Regional Planning Commission of Greater Birmingham is doing something a little different than they have in the past. Instead of the pre-work group ride around downtown they are improving on Bici's idea from last year and partnering with a few coffee shops in the metro area. If you show up on a bike between 7 a.m. and 9 a.m. you get a free small coffee and a CommuteSmart team member will be there handing out prizes. They will also have a photo contest to win more prizes.Â
