First Kisses: closed mouth edition
-What do I do for my first kiss?
Keep your lips closed. That way you won’t bang teeth. If something goes wrong, laugh it off. Trust me, you both are super super nervous. If you have to, tell your partner that you were just dizzy or excited or something. But seriously, for your first kiss, keep your lips closed. It’s gonna be awkward for the first couple times. Close your eyes as you lean in-but don’t close them completely until your lips touch. You don’t want to miss, and it’s very awkward if they are open. You don't want to stare at their face and they don't want to think you are. Move your lips gently against one another. Don’t just sit there, sort of unresponsive. Your lips move every time unless it’s a small peck.
It’s gonna be seriously awkward afterward when you two pull away. Be prepared for that. The person you're kissing will most likely be thinking the same things you are: “Did they like it? Was that ok?” If you smile or something, it’ll reassure them. Laugh, maybe. Break the tension.
Definitely smile.
If it's so damn awkward that you are sure they'll never take the plunge again, just go for it yourself while you still have the adrenaline high. Show them that mistakes are just mistakes no matter who makes them and they can be resolved, and that you're ok with that.
