Kauai Hiking 2018
Heading up to Hawkeye Point by Adrian Burden Via Flickr: The Goat Rocks Wilderness is a fantastic place for unobstructed views of Rainier, Helens and Adams. That is Mount Rainier majestically towering in the distance. I have been enjoying seeing things in Black and White lately.
Old Snowy by Adrian Burden Via Flickr: Looking back at Old Snowy from the PCT / knife edge trail in the Goat Rocks Wilderness Area. A fantastic area for a backpack with great views of Mt Adams, St Helens and Mt Rainier. I was fortunate enough to spend 4 nights in the area, WOW!
Looking up by Adrian Burden Via Flickr: Wade looks up to get a refreshing mist from Emperor Falls after the climb from the valley of a thousand water falls.
Looking up from below by Adrian Burden Via Flickr: The back of the Owen Point Sea Caves on the West Coast Trail.
You following us? by Adrian Burden Via Flickr: On our way to Cribs Creek we came across a pod of playful Sea Lions. They were swimming along with us and seemed to be very curious. We also watched them surfing which was a treat. The WCT always has a surprise!
Happy tails by Adrian Burden Via Flickr: On our way to Cribs Creek we came across a pod of playful Sea Lions. They were swimming along with us and seemed to be very curious. We also watched them surfing which was a treat. The WCT always has a surprise!
Wonder Grip by Adrian Burden Via Flickr: One of the many ladders on the West Coast Trail on Vancouver Island, BC. Many techniques are used to protect oneself from the never ending challenges along the trail.
Light up the cave by Adrian Burden Via Flickr: Sometimes it is all about the timing to get a shot like this. Earlier in the day I noticed a couple setup camp in the caves across from the main campsite at Walbran Creek and hoped they would have a fire, to my delight they did! There was lots of marine fog that dd not burn off for the whole week we were there, it would have been nice with a starry sky, but I am happy with this and it gives me ideas for other shots.
A test of time by Adrian Burden Via Flickr: A very old large stump remains on the beach to take all the extremes that the Pacific Ocean can throw at it.
Olympic Coast dreams by Adrian Burden Via Flickr: From my recent trip to the Olympic Coast this past July.
Sunset on the Olympic Coast by Adrian Burden Via Flickr: Oh the towering sea stacks on the Olympic Coast in Western Washington. Such a treat to hike the rugged coast and enjoy a fire and a beautiful sunset.
Sunset on the Olymplic Coast by Adrian Burden Via Flickr: Oh the towering sea stacks on the Olympic Coast in Western Washington. Such a treat to hike the rugged coast and enjoy a fire and a beautiful sunset.
Hey little fella by Adrian Burden Via Flickr: I went out exploring the low tide and came across his little crab. He tried acting tough at first, but then settled down when the camera came out.
West coast starfish by Adrian Burden Via Flickr: It was a great pleasure to see lots of starfish clinging to the rocks. A good sign that they are coming back after a disease that wiped a large number out.
Long beach sunset by Adrian Burden Via Flickr: One of the many sunsets from a recent trip to Tofino BC. We were on our way to Flores Island to hike the Wild Side Trail.
Field of view by Adrian Burden Via Flickr: I took my 16mm fisheye with me on a trip to the Hoover Dam so I could try out a couple of interesting angles
