Because of Seb, so there was a happy ending but oh my, I hated that race xD that whole season was exhausting for me, also due to fights between fans. And also Michael retired on that day, too many emotions to handle...
Like that I can totally understand...that race was tough because of the reasons what you just said. It is just emotions, if I cry it is mostly because of sport or family. When I heard the news about Michael, it was a total breakdown for me. Been on holiday in Italy and I couldnt enjoy it, because of the fact what happened to him :(

Okay, sorry, should’ve read it once again to get it properly. And you are right about the foreigners…sadly.
Nah, it’s fine - replying with “yes” when I’m given two options (both of which apply) is just something I’m used to doing.
Well, being a tourist is one thing, living here is a whole other matter. Not exactly a foreigner-friendly nation at the best of times; and those times are certainly not now.
I do not want to write in Hungarian, but you are right. I would say, our country is not really for foreigners. And it has many reasons, why it isn’t for foreigners. Being a tourist here is, feels like you are in a fairytale. I am really happy about what they tell me about Budapest (95% positive) but yeah, it’s not the same living there and visiting the city.
Not really for foreigners, and soon enough not really for Hungarians either. My eyebrow usually just threatens to disappear into my hairline whenever I hear tourists rave about Budapest. Such an enormous chasm between their experiences and mine. But then, they have the benefit of not speaking Hungarian - I’d imagine if I didn’t know what actually goes on in the country I’d be able to enjoy a short visit.
The same…I am happy for about five seconds, then I’ll just go, hey concentrate, that is not the situation. Only benefit (okay not only, being dramatic and shit) is no one else understands Hungarian, so you can talk with other Hungarians whatever you want…but again, doing that is so typical Hungarian. I really do not know, that I ever want to live there again for a long time. Glad to be in Germany, but it isn’t a fairytale here as well. I do miss home, but I miss friends, family, but the atmosphere and the negativity of people not really. And our politics…nah, it is just plain non-sense.
“ no one else understands Hungarian, so you can talk with other Hungarians whatever you want”
Be careful about that one - had some men in Oslo shout after my friend and me “Nézd már de jó a seggük, basznám” as they were walking past. Should have taken a photo of their faces when I responded in Hungarian. Probably best if I don’t repeat what I shouted back at them. :D
“the atmosphere and the negativity of people not really. And our politics…nah, it is just plain non-sense.”
A mocsár lehúz. You’re better off, trust me. And you can always visit friends and family for holidays (or even better, get them to visit you!). I’ve lived in many different countries, and I don’t think I was ever as unhappy - or felt as alien - in any as much as I do in Hungary.
Yeah, I know that…always paid the price once, while I was swearing at a driver while I was on my bike. The driver was Hungarian, and wanted to hit me with his car, wasn’t that much fun I guess.
Ay, that has been kínos for them haha. Yeah but sadly you are right with the mocsár. I am still trying to explain my thoughts, but most of the people are in Hungary “mint egy ló szemellenzővel”. So, you can’t really argue about anything. Either they won’t even listen to, what are you saying or just try to rip you in half with their words.
“The driver was Hungarian, and wanted to hit me with his car” That checks out. Bit too uses to driving around here, I guess. I’ve seen way too many near-crashes here the past year.
Nah, I don’t even try anymore. The problem is this: Hungarians who grew up here and never left the country to see what the world is like outside the border won’t understand what you’re talking about; therefore you’re just a traitor who is criticising the country without cause or reason.
The other problem is the language barrier. Too many people don’t speak other languages, which means that all the information about the outside world and from within Hungary comes from Hungarian news sources; most of which are in the pocket of the government.
Older people who have been through this all already are sometimes able to laugh about it - same brainwashing and censorship that went on during the Communist era. With the west being the enemies.
The one thing I learnt since moving back to Hungary is to never ever discuss politics, not even with friends. It’s a shitstorm waiting to happen, really.
Yes, you are right. But the problem is, I still think so, that I can change the standpoint and thinking of people in various things, maybe I am just to naive, but I’ll guess the time will come, when I will give up, maybe I am just too young (20), and I think, that I can change things, and make a difference.
Here in Germany, almost everyone is openly talking about politics and about problems, which are seroius, and everybody has an other idea or way of seeing about it. But they still do talk about these things, and you don’t often see someone totally pissed-off at the end of the talking.
And yes, do not talk about politics. Even with your family you shouldn’t talk about it. It gets worse and worse. Been to abroad, seen things, of course I am more open-minded, that doesn’t mean that I got brainwashed or something, but I’ve seen a lot new, and getting it, what is wrong with our country.
And of course, you can find bad, negative and aggressive people everywhere, in Hungary they just really concentrate at one place...everyone seems to be grumpy (great example is BKV for it (buses, metro, villamos)) and even if you have a good day, other people, who are total strangers, can easily ruin your day. And why? Because they have a bad day, and if they have a bad day, you should have one to.
Really, back at school, I had a debate with a german teacher (exchange for a couple of classes), because I stated, that I would like to study abroad, I explained, what I think of our country...she started to say negative things on me, went totally personal, and yes, why aren’t you happy here, you are against your country, and a typical thing, at the end: financial stuff...that you should be happy, cause you have money (or it was something like that). I was shocked. She wanted to ruin my final exam, and she dropped 5% on my german final exam...but many teachers were with me, and told me, you shouldn’t say it again, that you want to study abroad, because it will have a bad reputation...that is our country. I could go on with our school, politics have nothing to do with education, but sadly that school is still heavily influenced by politics.
Where I live in Germany, okay, it is really not like a fairytale, but far more better. People don’t offend other people, who they do not really know, they just try to live their lives, you can enjoy yourself, how you are. You are never gonna be someone, who is out of the line.

Okay, maybe I am dumb, but I don’t get it….:D yes for which one? :D
Both. It doesn’t have to be an “or” question (in fact it usually isn’t; not that many foreigners would want to live in Hungary), that’s why I replied with yes.
Okay, sorry, should’ve read it once again to get it properly. And you are right about the foreigners…sadly. Sorry for reblogging it couple of times, always mixing up my two tumblrs (facepalm)
I was surprised at first, but then figured you probably have multiple blogs. :D
Yepp, I just mix them sometimes :/ but yeah, cycling doesn’t go with motorsports (at least for me not)

Have you always lived in Hungary?
Nope, spent more than half of my life abroad in various countries.
Are you Hungarian or do you live in Hungary? @repsol-ariel
Yes.

No problem ;) I know how emotional motorsport is! I've been crying on the floor myself during F1 Brazilian GP 2012, haha. But recently most emotions all around are kept negative and not only it's doing harm to the drivers/riders themselves but also many fans, I think...I miss the friendliness! Oh and also, next season we fight again! :D
Brazil 2012? Because of Seb, or because of Fernando? That is a biiig difference. :D
I am really emotional when it comes to sports. I was shaking during the whole last race, but yeah, what happened, happened, you just cannot change it. Waiting for next season already, hope nothing bad is gonna happen.
And everyone should show emotions, but sadly yes, nowadays it is kep negative.
Third place in the MotoGP world championship goes to the outgoing world champion, Marc Marquez. (FIM gala)
First two gifs just show, that Marquez is really aggressive at overtaking. But not today.

10 minute media brief, and it’s fucking brutal.

Didn’t read it; he said it in the PC. That one of the reasons he couldn’t take risks was because he couldn’t crash again.
