he’s pulling at the shirt he’s been given to wear, something to pass off as more human, carefully adjusting the glasses over his freckled nose with a grumble. there’s a moment that passes where he stares at her incredulously, before eight shakes his head. “you’re a tool, is wha’ you are. eli’s your name.” he says, before he reaches over and fixes the sleeve of her shirt. “alright, you pass as human, you may walk. i’ve got this fuckin’ sort to tame.” he’s leaning in the mirror, carefully trying to fix the futuristic chrome of his purpled hair, before he sighs. “an’ i’m kyran, right? that’s us sorted. kyran, eli, rihanna, malvik, apple, mitch, elaine. got tha’? you can prob’ly just call mitch and elaine our mum and dad, though. we’re their adopted kids or sum’n, ‘cause five looks more like ‘em?”

“leo? leo, where did you go?” his temple whirs with an intense nervousness- his dog has gone missing, and chase can’t find him anywhere. he stands, pulling his sleeves over his hands anxiously, teeth pressed into his lip, as he calls again, “leo? leeeo!” but there’s no sign of a bounding st. bernard. he looks to the nearby stranger with a clearly distressed voice, which frays and pixellates (to him, at least) as he speaks. “excuse me? can you- c-can you help me- fi..ind my dog? his name is leo. he’s a saint bernard. he’s about this big...” he holds his hand up to his chest, indicating the massive size of the dog, before blinking sincerely.

i ALSO love ollie, and he absolutely does! ollie grew up very lonely and dreamy, and he joined the scouts because of his interest in the environment, but also to make friends, because his dad was worried that he wouldn’t be able to talk to kids his age, so scouts seemed like the best option. he thinks that it’s a place where he can always find friends, and he loves all of his troop very much.

his proudest achievement is definitely earning his orienteering merit badge. he ended up getting lost while he was wandering one day, and he scaled a tree to try and pinpoint where he was, fell out into a pile of poison ivy, and managed to find a way to wrap his fractured wrist and cool down the poison ivy burn by himself until he was found! he’d gotten the work done, and earned the badge, and as a result, he’s pretty proud of himself.

hey remember faye's brother bc i do and i love him. do they have a close relationship? do they keep in touch?

ALEX MARKOWITZ, THE LOVE OF MY LIFE!!!!! yes, he’s perfect, i adore him more than anything. he’s three years older than faye, and faye is very close to him, and they’re both pretty much prodigies in academics, which makes the markowitz family incredibly successful. they’re both really quick and smart, and get along incredibly well.

faye loves him very much, and talks to him as often as she can, as alex attends college in holland for history and language studies. he’s very protective of faye, as is evidenced by her lack of proper boyfriends in her life when she was young. faye used to go to his baseball matches, and he in turn would go to her academic decathllon matches and stuff. it was a really sweet siblingship.

of course, they have their downsides, as faye’s often felt overprotected and wants to live her life without her brother breathing down her neck over tiny things like hanging out with boys, and she feels like he has a very skewed perception on how well she’s able to handle herself, which he’s trying to get over but he can’t really, because she’s always going to be his little sister in his heart.

you mentioned to me abt an ex of rayven's but i can't for the life of me remember ... anything about them so talk abt them now!! was it a good relationship or a bad one? did it end nastily or amicably?

rayven’s ex is actually a boy named shane glass! he’s a bit scummy, and rayven got to know him through her sister ursella, who eventually kind of… forced them together, for lack of a better term. it wasn’t exactly a very healthy relationship, because shane didn’t exactly like rayven, but he thought she was hot and good at art, and rayven didn’t like shane, and found it hard to talk to him, but was too socially awkward to say no when ursella pushed them together at a party.

their first kiss was actually spin the bottle initiated, and it happened to be rayven’s first proper kiss. she didn’t like it, but ursella said that she’d eventually be good at it. rayven and shane dated for about two months, and during that time, rayven tried her hardest to be a good girlfriend, but since she only had ursella for an example, it wasn’t exactly easy because ursella herself wasn’t a good girlfriend to any of the boys she was trying to get with. rayven mostly went out to meet with him and sat on his knee while he talked to his friends, and he’d often comment that she was a bit heavy. this is due to her being tall, but she’s actually rather thin, and it ends up manifesting into a massive insecurity for her, despite her already apparent malnourishment due to her dysfunctional household.

their breakup was actually their third sexual encounter. it took place at a house party. rayven wasn’t experienced sexually and she wasn’t exactly comfortable with shane being her first anything, but she did enough to kind of keep him at bay, without allowing for full on sex. this third encounter, shane wanted more, and rayven definitely did not, and it ended up with rayven having a complete breakdown and running away, and she was in such a state that a lowlife decided she was perfect to steal from, and rayven tried to fight him off, and ended up with the mugger pulling a blade to make her cough something up, and resulted in a long gash up her leg which scarred over. ( she eventually covered the scarring with a tattoo! ) it kind of became official that they’d broken up after that, despite not having said anything.

overall, rayven doesn’t view the relationship as anything good or anything that gave her experience, and tries to skip over it because it happened during a period of her life that she’d rather forget, shane moved on and ursella was mad at rayven for ruining things with one of her friends. it gives her a lot of anxiety to think about because she feels bad about never really saying no to him.
