Also yes my favorite thing is to add flygon dragonfly-ish wings since its previous evo resembles either a dragonfly or a mayfly and it makes so much sense in my head...

I've always wondered -- do flygons shed/molt their red eye cover/bubble things? I know they work as eye protection for flight and against sandstorms, but wouldn't/couldn't they get really scratched up over time?
If they do shed, do they usually come off in one piece? Once on a trip to the Unova Desert Resort I found a red sort of cup/bowl thing on the ground. Could this have been from a shed, or was it probably just some trash blown in or left by a tourist 😔?

they do! it's actually a specialized scale known as a brille, and it provides more protection to their eyes while flying through sandstorms. when they shed their skin, the brille should come off along with it.
i doubt what you found was a flygon brille for a couple of reasons. the first is that it should have had some skin attached to it, because they don't shed the brille separately. the second is that flygon don't really stay in the desert resort! they use it as a nesting site, but they don't stay long term. the females tend to get their sheds out of the way before or after their breeding season, since shedding puts them off their appetite and leaves them vulnerable. so from a timing perspective, it's unlikely one would be going through a shed while at the desert resort.
