Neytiri bursts into the room where Norm and Max are working, dragging a very sheepish Spider covered in a poncho and a bandana behind her.
Norm and Max ask her what she's doing here since no one was expecting her.
Neytiri: “MaJake told me the sun had special effects on humans. Is this true?”
Norm, not really getting where she's going with that: “Uhm, yes. Under extended exposure it can cause severe burns and other… uhm… special effects, yes.”
Max and Norm exchange a puzzled look.
Spider’s eyes drop to the floor in haste.
Neytiri glares at them before reaching toward Spider and proceeds to snatch the bandana from Spider’s head, uncovering growing black horns the bandana was hiding.
Neytiri: “Is this a special effect? Because I don’t think so.”
Spider moans in shame and keeps his head down.
Max and Norm open huge mouths of shock.
Norm pours coffee directly on the table, missing his cup entirely, all the while staring agape at the horns on Spider's head, Neytiri sending them a pointed look.
OH MY GOD jus finished remember me this way and probably my favourite locorro fic everrrrrrrr!!!!!! i love it so much thank you for writing and im so intriguied as to what comes next for aonung and myrcella sending all my love
Hi! Thank you so much for your kind words!!! I'm so happy you like this story and Aonung and Myrcella :)
Thank you for reading it and taking the time to let me know your thoughts! It's always deeply appreciated :)
It's been more than 2 months since the Stranger Things Finale aired and I still haven't recovered. I don't think I will ever get over how truly horrible, heartbreaking and pathetic those volumes 2 and 3 were and how they destroyed the characters, the plot, the message and the show's legacy.
To me, it's even worse than GOT. Because GOT was already problematic in many ways. It was a homophobic and sexist show written by and for straight cis men. Stranger Things could have been so much. Byler could have been so much. A show about the outcasts who FINALLY get to win.
I BELEIVED in Byler after the Sorcerer episode. I BELEIVED in Will. I BELEIVED that for once, this horrible world in which we're forced to live could have something beautiful. A best friend to lover trope that made the most sense and that was the most natural evolution of 4 painful seasons. If Will had been a girl, this is what would have happened. And I truly believed. Because the Sorcerer's ending was phenomenal. Will discovering his powers. To save Mike. Mike looking at him with so much pride, so much adoration. I couldn't imagine any other direction than Byler after that.
And then... it all crashed. It crashed so bad.
They destroyed Will. They destroyed El. They destroyed Mike and they probably destroyed him the most. They mocked the gay character and turned him into a caricature of himself. They sacrificed the black girl and the girl who didn't belong. They erased the only queer couple of the show after building up some mentoring that led to nowhere.
I'll keep saying that volume 2 and volume 3 don't look like they belong to Season 5 at all. It doesn't seem to be the same show or the same characters.
What happened? I'll ask again. And again.
This question will taunt me for as long as we don't have a real answer. I know about the interviews and all. But then, it's even worse. Were the Duffers really that clueless about their own show? Was it Ross's wife who actually wrote Byler and was Divorcegate real? Did Netflix intervene and vetoed the last part of a different season where Byler happened and they had to rewrite and reshoot the show in emergency?
Maybe I'm delusional but I'm still going with the theory that season 5 volume 2 and 3 weren't supposed to be like that. That they had to be redone in haste which explained the delay and the three parts release.
Because at this point, it's either the Duffers AND the actors (Caleb, Gaetan and even Finn) were homophobic little shits who played and mocked the queer audience which is horrible and I don't want to beleive that (especially when Finn mentionned several times that he didn't understand why was Mike so clueless about Will's feelings for him). OR it was a rewrite due to censorship.
For the sake of what's left of my mental health, I'll go with the rewrite and the censorship.
But we still lost Byler and what could have been such a beautiful love story. Not just queer. A love story for all.
New Locorro story coming up - Wolf of my Heart (Human Lo'ak and Na'vi Lo'ak switch souls)
Yes, I'm writing it. I'm too obsessed with the version of those characters and I just love the idea of Na'vi Lo'ak meeting Werewolf Spider and an Addams version of his family...
Synopsis:
Lo’ak only wanted to visit Neteyam because he misses his brother so much and life has been so hard lately. Between his failed attempt at courting Tsireya and Spider being obviously interested in his sister (and why does it bother him so much?), he hasn’t been able to find his place and he feels even more like an outcast.
But what was this strange light and why did it feel like it absorbed him into nothingness?
He doesn’t know where he is. He doesn’t recognize this place. It’s immense and dark and nothing like anything he’s seen before. A huge house with a great fireplace, green couches and tapestry walls. He thinks he remembers seeing that somewhere but where? In a book maybe.
What happened?
And who is this strange young man asking with a worried expression if he’s ok? He looks like Spider but he’s not Spider. And why are his eyes yellow?
oh my word of my worddddd im genuinely confused on how you are this encreible of a writer! like everything is beyond god tier (eywa tier if you will) anyway just wanted to say i just read both parts after finding ur blog last night whilst ao3 was down and ive been waiting all day to read them!

Oh thank you so much!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm so happy you enjoy the story :)
OHHH MYYY GOOOD I JUST FINISHED THE SECOND PART OF BUT I'M A WARRIOR AND I NEED MOREEEEE
I LOVE THE STUPID BOYS AND I LOVE YOUR WRITINGGGG
HEEYYYY!
I'm happy you liked it! This chapter was a lot of fun to write! And yes, they are SO stubborn! And it's only the BEGENNING! Lo'ak is going to be incredibly stupid and in complete denial of himself.
And be prepared for the adults teaming up to try and put some sense into Lo'ak who desperately need it. I have some moments between Quaritch and Neytiri that I can't wait to fully write!
Here's a snippet of the new chapter because I'm taking too much time writing it... (as always...) so here you go! It's not fully proofread so it might change a bit in the final version.
“Where have you been?” Aonung asked, “You stood me up.”
Spider stopped, confused, before rolling his eyes when he suddenly remembered they were supposed to have dinner together that night. With what happened with Lo’ak, he had completely forgotten.
“Shit! I’m sorry. I forgot.”
“I saw that,” Aonung replied, taking full notice of the bruises on Spider’s chest that were impossible to miss for his keen eyes, “What happened to you? Did you try to wrestle with a Tsurak again? You know they’re still too big for you!”
“Yeah, no. There was no wrestling with… anything,” Spider mumbled.
His answer didn’t satisfy Aonung whose ears flickered backward, “We saw Lo’ak storm off on Payakan earlier and leave the Reef in haste.”
Spider bit the inner flesh of his cheeks and frowned, “Yeah, I don’t think they should wait for him for dinner…” he said.
“Why do you say this? Did you two have a fight?”
“Not really…” Spider mumbled without looking at him.
“His smell is all over you…” Aonung noted.
“Well, I was trying to get rid of it before you interrupted!” the human argued with a glare.
His response didn’t move the Na’vi who barely blinked, “So?”
“So what?!”
“Why is Lo’ak’s smell so strong on you? And why do you look so battled up? Something must have happened. I want to know what.”
“Can’t you guess? You’re usually good at it!”
“I want you to tell me," Aonung insisted, his arms crossed over his chest and he suddently looked so much like Tonowari, it was a bit unsettling.
Spide huffed, “Uh! You’re so annoying when you want to!”
“What happened?” the Na'vi asked again with unwavering determination.
Spider observed him. Aonung was incredibly stubborn, he knew he would ask over and over until the human finally responded. There was no way out of it.
He let out a long sigh of defeat and shook his head, shrugging, “Honestly? I don’t even know. I’m not sure. When you guys left, we stayed to clean up some of the debris. We were kind of exhausted, especially Lo’ak, and we took a nap on one of the hammocks… I dozed off. Lo’ak too. When I woke up, he was cuddled up against me and he was burning hot. I thought he was sick. I tried to wake him up and get him back to the village but he didn’t want to. Then he looked at him and his eyes… they were all back and dilated. And I understood what was happening.”
“He Awakened,” Aonung stated and it wasn’t a question.
“I tried to talk him out of it and put some sense back into him.”
“Why?” Aonung asked, confused, “There is no sense to be put in Awakening. It just happens."
“I know it was a mistake,” Spider argued, “Lo’ak couldn’t Awaken with me. It was wrong. I told him we should return to the village and get Tsireya or some help. But it was no use! He wasn’t listening and I sort of let it happen… probably because I’m selfish and a horrible friend.”
He shook his head and sat at the edge of an old abandoned Marui right next to the stream. Aonung didn’t move and observed him for a short while. Spider didn’t look up to check on his friend but he knew the Na’vi was judging him in his own way and that he was up for a scolding that came about two seconds later.
“You really are stubborn!” Aonung finally said, “Of course it was no use! Awakening cannot be controlled! Or stopped once it started! I told you so many times already! It is Fate. The Great Mother’s design. And please, do let my sister out of this. Lo’ak didn’t Awaken with her because he doesn’t want her. And it really is even more obvious now that he Awakened with you after only one moment of you two alone!”
“But I’m not even sure it really was Awakening at all!” Spider argued, staring up at Aonung’s immense body and craning his neck to meet his blue eyes.
Aonung gave him a long, pointed look, “Rubio…”
“Maybe it was something else…” the human insisted, “It could have been something else!”
“Spider!” Aonung snapped, “Why do you refuse to accept that Lo’ak Awakened with you?! It was obviously Awakening! Especially if you tell me about his eyes changing!”
“Because it doesn’t make any sense!” Spider responded, waving his hands impatiently, “And because Lo’ak clearly didn’t want it! When it was over and he returned to his senses, he was so mad! He said I ruined everything and he left.”
Aonung shook his head slowly, “He really is a skxawng, denying himself his own reality! If Lo’ak Awakened with you, it means that he wanted it to happen with you. Even if he says otherwise!”
Spider shrugged, “Well, I’m pretty sure he’ll never want to speak to me again so…”
“Don’t say that.”
“It’s true. He was really mad, Nung.”
Aonung bit his lip, his ears moving backwards on his head, “Are you alright?” he suddenly asked, sounding worried, “You’re not hurt?”
Spider shook his head, “Not really. I’m just sore. Really sore. And I’m pretty sure it’ll take weeks for the bruises on my dick to fade. But I’m fine. I’m not stupid, it could have been a lot worse. That size difference was ridiculous…”
“Did you mate?”
“No. Lo’ak tried. I think. But he probably understood it wasn’t going to work so he did… other things instead. Like, a lot of other things… Then he took my Kuru and made the Bond even though I told him it was a bad idea. And then he woke up from it, became incredibly pissed off and ran away.”
“You made the Bond?” Aonung asked.
“Yes. I tried to stop him-”
“-Rubio…” Aonung warned.
Spider let out a sigh and shook his head dejectedly. The Na’vi found a spot to sit on the floor next to the human, his body being too large to fit on a wooden edge of the Marui like Spider.
“It really is a mess,” Spider said again, “I hear you and all. But Lo’ak did not want any of this. If it really was Awakening and all.”
“How was it?” Aonung asked, “Tsaheylu. How did it make you feel?”
Spider blinked and frowned, remembering the intimate intensity of the Bond, “Honestly? I don’t even know how to describe it. It was insane. And at the same time, I’m not really sure what I felt at all. It was all so much. I felt his lust. His maddening lust. His need for connection and release. His pleasure. I know he could also feel me in the same way. I don’t know if I liked it or if it freaked me out. It was a bit intrusive.”
Aonung chuckled, “Tsaheylu must be accepted. I don’t think any of you accepted it.”
“Hey, technically I’m not even supposed to be able to do that!” Spider said, defending himself.
“Yes, you are. You have a Kuru. You are Na’vi.”
Spider tried to ignore how his heart fluttered at those words and shrugged “I feel awful for Lo’ak…” he said instead, “If you’d seen him… He was so upset.”
Aonung’s tail curled up in annoyance, “Lo’ak is a skxawng. He’ll come around. What matters is that you’re not hurt physically.”
“I’m sore. But I’m fine.”
Aonung nodded and they settled in a comfortable silence for a little while. They were close enough to touch and Spider let his head fall against Aonung’s shoulder, the size difference being practical for once.
“Bruises on your dick, eh?” Aonung suddenly said with a cheeky grin.
“And scratches…” Spider completed.
Aonung stared down at him with a smug expression, “I see…”
Spider rolled his eyes, “Oh, what?”
“Nothing! It’s just… I offered many times and I was always denied! But when it’s Lo’ak who wants to open his mouth for you… ” he trailed off, but it was clear he was upset, even mildly so.
Spider chuckled, “Yeah… He didn’t exactly open his mouth for me. More like… swallowed down his throat without asking…”
Aonung cackled, “Haha! I bet he was hungry!” he joked.
Spider wrinkled his nose and glared at him, “Eh!” he said, defending Lo’ak, “¡No seas tonto!”
The Na’vi observed him with a sustained arrogance, “Digo la verdad,” he responded, switching to Spanish too, “Además, ¡conmigo no habría dientes!” he added, emphasizing his last word by baring his teeth.
“Oh, they can be more than just words!” Aonung argued with a grin, “Ask and I will give. And contrary to that skxawng, I know how to treat you,” he said.
Spider frowned but didn’t respond. He wasn’t sure but he thought he noted a hint of jealousy in Aonung’s tone.
I adore your fic!! Seeing Lo’ak in denial and pinning bad is always a delight!
I’m curious if Spider is going to experience any like the awakening since Tsireya made it sound like it’s something that’s triggered by someone else awakening with them?
Hey! Thank you so much for your message and sorry for the delay. I'm happy you liked the chapter.
Regarding Spider Awakening, I tried to show that he doesn't *really* Awaken like a Na'vi does because he's still human and doesn't have a full blown Na'vi biology. But who knows what can happen?!!! He had a glimpse of what Awakening felt like for a Na'vi when he made the Bond with Lo'ak. And now that they made the Bond, it may or may not have any impact on Spider's biology....
(who knows..)
Anyway, I'm working on chapter 3 and I hope to post it soon.
Thank you very much for reading it and letting me know about what you thought of it! It's always very much appreciated!
Literally working on a visual AU in the Sims with a complete revamp of the Avatar characters as royalty occult...
Jake: born human but turned vampire by Quaritch
Quaritch: Original vampire
Neytiri: Witch
Mo'at: High Priestess and witch
Paz Socorro: Werewolf Queen
Spider: Wolf Prince, half vampire
Neteyam: half vampire, half witch (Necromancer), pretty dark and macabre
Tuk: half vampire, half witch
Aonung: siren Prince
Tsireya: siren Princess
Ronal: Sea Witch Queen
Tonowari: Siren King
Lo'ak: HUMAN (but he's actually a Fey and he doesn't know it because everybody thinks he's human except Spider because as a wolf he can smell something different with Lo'ak)
And OF COURSE, Locorro and Aocorro galore because my existence depends on it.
