What is a good theme song for James? Right now the best song I can come up with is Good old-fashioned lover boy, and though I think it fits, I'm sure there are better songs out there. It would preferably be more from the marauder-era time :)

Halt used to pull the "I'm older than you so I'm in charge" or "I'm older than you so I'm smarter" shit on Ferris all the time despite being 7 minutes older and Ferris hated it. What he hated even more was that Caitlyn agreed to all of it and went along with it.

Then Ferris grew a tiny bit taller than Halt and started using that against him

Speaking from experience, if they lived in the modern world, he's set a timer of seven minutes, and when it went off, go to Ferris and say: "Back when I was your age I set a timer." Or smth like that and piss Ferris off.

I'm really not hating on anyone, but I have a question and I want some honest answers.

So like, do ya'll really ship Gilan and Jenny? Because yes, their personalities are really good together, ans it makes total sense that they like eachother. But like, the age gap is like 13 years!

I can totally see Gilan getting with a girl like Jenny, and Jenny getting with a guy like Gil, but it's just the age gap is a lot. I know that that was normal in medieval times, but the series isn't really in the real medieval times that we know. And like, it's not that I don't want the, together, I think they could be really close friends, but just not lovers.

I just really want to here your opinions on this because I want to like the shio, but right now I just don't ship them.

I don't ship them actually. Like, I accept that it's canon, but I can't with age gap. It's a little too big for me. The way I do it is that they are together, but only becouse both of them didn't want to be single, but no romanse tension between them. I don't really know how to explain it, but they just kinda friendzoned their relationship.

Ranger's apprentice fanfictions I literally need to read, but don't have time to write so someone else needs to do it. Also, there are people out there who want to write but don't know what do write, so here are ideas:

Halt finding out about the fight at the harvest festival and his reaction to it.

Halt stealing those horses and running away from the Temujai and that his hair gets eaten by a goat.

A what if: What if Pritchart went to Araluen with Halt and he saw those stupid Morgarath people wanting to chop Crowley's nose off.

the gang on the ship back to Araluen from Skandia (missing scene from the Oakleaf bearers) just think about it, that's when Will finds out Halt is seasick.

Halt teaching Will/Gilan hand to hand combat.

Horace getting a midnight snack while singing "I want it that way" from the Backstreet boys.

I don't know if I ever told myself that I was gonna write a fic about it but I've always wanted to know how Halt would have reacted to the harvest fight because I feel like he would either be pissed (which I love because angry Halt is sexy) or he would ask who won and give Will tips onto how he can win next time and get good hits in and just generally not give a shit.

Also now I really want to see a fic where Will finds out Halt gets seasick for the first time, you have now put that idea in my head

I feel like it's very unlike Will to just give John Buttle as a slave to the Skandians in book five. I mean, when he was a slave, he probably felt like nobody deserves that faith. It doesn't matter what bad things they did. So it's weird that Will just gave him away.
