âHey there, uncle Pucci. Welcome back home to Hive City.â
He looked at her for a while. Who was this again? Somehow he doubted it being a regulars of the church...
â .... â
Oh right. There was that pesky girl from the one time at the market. Name escaped him and he certainly had no interest to catch it.
â .....Father Pucci. â
Anonymously tell my muse what the fuck is wrong with them.

I Swear to God || closed @ Kiara
His forward accusation causes Kiara to quietly inhale, fingers hovering in front of parted lips in a gesture of surprise. Her eyes, widened, stare at the frustrated priest with utter astonishment. Facade? Rears? Fooling?Â
Icy silence sweeps the seconds by before Kiara answers. Her hands lower, her lips close then part then close again for several seconds longer before the nun finally answers in her usual soft-spoken tone.Â
"F-Father, please⌠Improper?â
Sheâs heard worse. Far worse. And yet her posture suggests this is the first time anyoneâs ever accused her of being such a thing. She shakes her head softly.. âReally, there is not front Iâm trying to put up⌠Iâve never meant to deceive you or anyone, I act as openly around you as I do with any other personâŚâ
A frown pushes at the corners of her lips, sadness knitting her brows. âTo suggest I go out of my way in order to⌠impose myself on others like you say, well, IâŚ! Iâd never⌠But if you are truly firm in your belief, I canât push you either way.â
"How saddening it is to know Iâve done something to project such a - as you say - âdisgusting' impression in your mind.â She sighs and a smile returns, as it always does. âI suppose I will just have live with itâŚâÂ
This should be enough shouldn't it?
He has been patient, hasn't he? He gave her a chance to redeem herself and yet she so callously denied everything. He didn't really owe her anything, she had been volunteered for helping herself, hadn't she? Pucci lightly rubbed his temple.
"I have to admit", he finally said as he raised his face again.
"It is indeed saddening...."
He heaved a sigh closing his eyes for a short while. It was her fault.Â
Hand landed softly on her head. A step to the left Pucci pulled her towards the church bench. The pressure his fingers applied strengthened as he pulled her slightly backwards his clutch still heavy.
He didnât really look which part of her face met with the edge of the church pew. What he knew was that the bench was stained with blood and that there had been some sort of crunching sound. The nunâs face slammed against the edge with a heavy impact.
"That you won't even admit to your own faults. That I find... extremely sad."
"...and repulsive. You are absolutely disgusting."

// so excuse me, you're allowed to slap me but I have literally no idea who i owe besides kiara so if you could reply to this if i owe you...?Â
"...I haven't missed anything that matters have I?"
ăâŹăRevolver. {Pucci}
"Is that so? Hmph, thatâs somewhat disappointing. That could have proven to be quite entertaining."
Despite the civil form of conversation exchanged between the stoic pair, visible skepticism still loomed upon the former thugâs facial expressions, keeping a stern disposition towards the other. Albeit âblessedâ with the gift of gab, an unwavering unease threatened to change the course of their budding âship' - whichever 'ship' that may have been, Levi was curious to know as well. Did this odd minister intentionally attempt to forge a friendship? An acquaintanceship? Or, considering the myriad of merits bestowed upon his name as one of the only high-ranking officers within the cityâs current militia, could there have been more?
"Purpose keeps us as people both levelheaded and focused. Without drive, without goals, without purpose ⌠our society would wither away into nothingness. I was not born to bathe in slop and laze like swine, after all."
Paranoia occasionally crept into the back of the commanderâs cerebrum, plaguing his otherwise calm thought process for something far less stable. Maybe that was a major factor contributing to glaring suspicions - or it could have been a case of intuition. Either or, the captain had the ability to put on a front like no other. However, one thing could not be so easily refuted - his speech.
Never one for acknowledgment, Levi could concede that the man was correct - throughout his lifetime, his past had simultaneously molded and haunted him. In many ways, he still felt indebted to the lives lost during the struggle within his home realm, despite being an inhabitant within the Hive for months. Ghosts of the fallen trailed afterward, clutching onto memorabilia and latching onto the confounds of his mindâs innermost corridors.
"⌠hate to say it, but youâre right. The past, no matter how shitty it is, can either make or break you. Reflection happens ⌠itâs when you choose to remain in the la la land of yesteryear that you become detrimental to your own sanity."
Unfortunately, it was a fact that the captain had seen firsthand in the past. He had seen perfectly sane individuals lose their sanity on the brink of life and death, struggling to remain in tact with the cruel world around. Attempting not to delve into his thoughts any further, hand extended as before stating in an off-kilter, unprecedented fashion.
"Now then, I shouldnât expect any trouble out of you - shall I, Pucci? After all, you are a disciple of the âmost highâ."
A quiet laugh left him.
"Well, I apologize for my boring ambitions...." he said in a light tone smirking if only a bit.
Oh how different the conversation would be if he were to present his goals to to this man. It was almost tempting but he held his tongue - no reason to set himself for disappointment. Levi would assume they're nothing but feeble ideals when the truth was quite the opposite... It was something he had been pursuing for such a long time... A goal like no other. Â
It was easy for Pucci to find himself in Levi's words. In truth besides his ambitions there was very little to Pucci. Books and the science... All but distraction to pass time when he couldn't proceed or tools to achieve what he wanted.Â
"It's true, of course... There's no worth in person without those", Pucci said, "perhaps it's the greater purpose of everything? To simply keep striving forward."Â
To attain Heaven, he added in his mind.Â
"Hm? Why, what kind of trouble? I don't seem that threatening now, do I?"Â
Was it this man's natural habit of being suspicious of others or was he acting according to intuition? A mix of the two perhaps? He did seemed to be sharp so Pucci figured he should at least exercise caution as in this City it was difficult to get rid of those that went against you.
"Unless you bring me trouble what reason would I have to to bring you any? I truly don't think you'll have to concern yourself with it."
Medical Attention || closed@Valentine
Honestly, Valentine had been surprised sheâd been hired at Hive Cityâs hospital in the first place. Then again, no one here knew her record, and no one here knew of her work for Lab Zero, or of her work with the Last Hope. Not that it was necessarily bad word, but considering they dealt with human experimentation, it didnât look so hot on resumes.
Either way, it didnât matter. Valentine had a job doing what she was trained for, and she did it well. Hell, she couldâve been a doctor in the place, with her surgical skills, but she chose to remain a nurse. Less work, less commitment. Just the way she liked it.
Though sometimes she was struck with the urges to experiment and cut open, she acted just like any other nurse in the hospital - kind and knowledgeable, but with a bit of a sharp tongue. No one thought ill of her here, and it made her life much easier.
When she received her chart for the day, and noticed a familiar name -Â Enrico Pucci -Â she smirked behind her mask. She knew this name, this was the Father that Double worked with. The one that according to the monster, knew of what Double truly was and still maintained an alliance with her. That only meant that he himself was not as pure of heart as he seemed.Â
Did he need help? Was he sick? This was suspicious - he was probably just here to spy on her, but Valentine would play along. She stepped into the lobby, noticing him but not saying anything, as she bent down and finished bandaging a small childâs arm. She smiled and reached into her pocket, pulling out a lollipop for the kid, patting him on his head as he returned to his mother. It seemed so set up, but really, this was one of the parts of the job Valentine didnât mind. She could be soft at times.
Finally, she responded to Pucci, raising an eyebrow as she did.
âWell well well, I know you. Or rather, I know of you. Doubleâs friend, Father Pucci.â
âIf no oneâs tended to you, Iâd be glad to do so. Follow me into the examination room, if you will.â
She turned on her heel and beckoned for him to follow, opening the door for him and closing it shut once they were both inside. She turned and washed her hands before slipping on a pair of fresh gloves. A closed room was better for the conversation they were likely to have, but for now, sheâd keep up the act.
âNow then, Father. Tell me where it hurts.â
She knew how to play her part. Certainly fooling a child or any passing person wasn't anything to be impressed with but that was Pucci's judgement regardless. What he saw was a vacuous deed, perhaps played for him or to keep her in good terms with clientele. The church visitors also assumed good service and would be off his feet fast if he remained friendly enough - something like that.
But even if he had believed otherwise.... The woman was associated with the monster. What he saw now was no doubt a facade. And just as she'd keep hers Pucci also continued his act.Â
 "Ah... But of course..."
"Valentine, wasn't it? I should have known.... I didn't know this was your workplace. It's a pleasure to meet you."Â
He entered the room with those words his eyes only brushing the sight of her. It wouldn't have been quite true that no concern passed him but in the end closed space worked better for him as well.Â
He sat down throwing his leg over the other as he cradled his hands to his lap. He had almost forgotten it as right now the headache was nothing but small background noise within his mind. Was it wise to tell her? Perhaps, perhaps not but that was his pretense for the visit as apparent as it might have been. She might have realized it already but why not to continue like this?
"Ah, it's this headache that has been bothering me... It sometimes comes with a slight nausea. Hardly nothing to be concerned about but it's good to take cautionary measures."
shattered glass, shattered lives. (open)
Painwheel didnât necessarily want a fight. If she could avoid one she undoubtedly would since it wasnât her intention that nightâ
âŚWhat?!
Her blood was reacting to something. It was distant, only the vaguest trace but it had to beâŚThere was no mistaking itâŚ
The Skull Heartâs aura? On a male? So very, very faintâŚits ethereal stench had rubbed off on him from somebody elseâŚNot Marie herself though. Peacock? Double? Both? Even just being near the Heart itself was like catching traces of radiation.
She ignored the statements, empty red gaze shocked.
"WhyâŚWhy do I sense the Skull Heart on you? Who do you know that has it?!"
The Skull Heart... It took a short while for Pucci to track the word back from his memories. The brat hadn't exactly kept her mouth shut - it had been easy to gather the information from her. It hadn't been much but it certainly was something Pucci had kept in his mind. He hadn't really visited at the location where he suspected it to be however... What would he do with it anyway? He couldn't really use it after all.Â
So, what to do now? Tell her the truth or feign ignorance? Certainly he wouldn't offer to give the location unless it came to a necessity.Â
"...no need to get so agitated, I won't pretend the word isn't familiar to me but..."
"I have no idea of location.... And to tell who has it might cost me my life, so I'd rather not. "
It wasn't exactly lying although no one could call Pucci defenseless. But it was better that the other would think that way.
