✘-✘-✘ Ms. Fortune had been spending the last couple hours of today trying to find a decent place with dim sums. She wondered if she was even looking in the right place because she was having zero luck as of so far. Maybe it was best to run on over to another district— tap tap.
Nadia didn’t even turn around, but her ear twitched on over towards the taps general direction. The curiosity died in her and was replaced with irritation. Oh. She knew that voice all too well. If it was even possible for skin to visibly crawl, it would be right now.
Well, that was what the fur standing up on her tail was for. The cat girl let out a quiet hiss, before words slipped out.
" I’d love to lend you a hand, really, but you’d probably do some weird experiments to it. “
" And this cat purrfurs the claws. The better to scratch you with. " ✘-✘-✘
She'd recognized her right off the bat, of course, but she'd played along with her own act for the sake of annoying her.
Valentine had heard from Marie and Double that Ms. Fortune was in the city, but she hadn't had the pleasure of coming across her yet. She hadn't even bothered to seek her out, because really, with Marie and Double in the city, she had better things to worry about than a little kitten. But now that she had crossed her path, she might as well say hello, right?
Upon seeing her reaction, Valentine couldn't help but chuckle beneath her mask. She could see the fur on the thief's tail standing on edge, and it only made the situation all the more amusing.
"Well well well, look at what the cat dragged in. Herself."
"You don't know that for sure, after all, what use do I have for a single hand? There really isn't much I can do with it. However, if you'd like to lend me your entire body, that'd be another story entirely."
