Getting older and losing joy. How can I keep it
And just like that life humbles you.
Come home Disco.
today I heard you on the phone talking to Paula and it made my whole day better. The reason I was in a good mood today was because of you
The right people will give you space. Space to grow and work through yourself. They will see you in your darkest times and not convince you are a monster. Understand your humanness and allow you the room to make mistakes without labeling you as the mistake.
Today we mourn, honor, and remember the transgender people who were murdered because of their gender identity or expression.

I stood up to a bully today.
As we were walking to the store we approached a car with a man screaming profanities to a woman. He was kicking the car seat in front of him. It was alarming but we kept walking and figured we would check in on the way home and not step in too much. Besides the store was less than a block away and we would be back soon to reassess the situation.
We instantly realized the situation had escalated substantially as we could now hear him screaming from the store. By the time we made it to where the altercation was, he was out of the car, yelling, banging the car with his fists and barking for her to get out. At this point a few other people had gathered and were telling him to get out of the road and to stop yelling. He didnt. He proceeded to sit on the woman's car, refusing to leave until she got out of the car. This is when I stepped in with a few men scattered around, yelling at him to get off the car and walk away. -he yelled at her to pull the car over. We all hoped she would drive off, but she pulled over anyway. He began kicking and hitting the car, while continuing to scream. She had locked the doors and wouldn't let him in, and once he discovered that, he attempted to break the handles off the door. That's when I yelled that he needed to keep walking and to cool off. He wasn't listening so I yelled them repeatedly.
He looked me squared in the eye, crossed oncoming traffic and walked straight up to me. Yelling the entire time he was approaching. I could feel the spit from his mouth as he yelled. After a few minutes he barked a "fuck you" and walked away.
I got really lucky today. I have no idea what he was or could have done. In hindsight next time maybe I'll assess the situation more before I step in, but y'all should know I didn't back down. I looked him straight in the eye and held my ground. Even as he barreled towards me. I did not crumble, I did not flinch. And he stopped yelling at her and walked away.
It was terrifying. My body physically shook for hours after. I am so thankful I was protected today.
When we first started dating she slept in the tiniest ball. Squishing her body and holding her legs to her chest.
Now shes a whirlwind, splayed on display for the world to see. Elbow to my face, legs kicked out. I hope she always feels safe to take up this much space.
Stop being so afraid to be confident. There’s actually a lot of great things about you. Don’t deny those things, embrace them. You’re beautiful and smart and kind and you need to stop punishing yourself for acknowledging it and trying to believe it.
making out is one of the most underrated things in the world of sex like one of the best feelings on earth is tongue on tongue, biting each other’s lips and pressing your bodies together and grinding your hips into each other while your breathing mixes and making out is just so ugh god
