Idk never had an account where I post, been a lurker on tumblr for like awhile, but after participating in this years art fight and getting encouragement. I decided to start posting.
For starters I have made many improvements since the last time I posted(it’s been a year) and I moved from ibis to procreate!
My dear Erika has gone through quite a few redesigns and is in the process of another!
Yes the Sonic fandom still has a grasp on me, I even made a few more ocs
I went through a phase for finished pieces where the line art had to be perfect and clean(you can even see it in the stuff I posted previously)
Don’t get me wrong I still love this but it put a lot of pressure on me as if not having clean line art made whatever I did not finished or sloppy(unshowable to others) Of course, I now know better though!
But all these are still kinda old… as of recently I’ve been teaching myself how to color/shade
Here’s my most recent work, that I will be posting again separately!
I know I still have lots to learn but this year and half digital art ride has been very fun(also Amy is my muse 110% expect more Amy art she’s all I draw I have like over 30 sketches of just her that I might post)
Thank you for tuning in to my recap more art soon, Bosco out!
The Sonic fandom has somehow dragged me back after like 5 years of silence in my brain. Looking back I never had the thought to make a sonic oc of my own, even tho that was like a rite of passage???(not sure why)
Soo….. here is me doing my past self some justice
This is Erika Hertz and Ruse the Raccoon
Erika is an amnesiac, she doesn’t know who she is, but instead of panicking and trying to search for answers. She kinda doesn’t care, more prone to living in the moment. She’s a total airhead and her overwhelming enthusiasm kinda makes people uncomfortable, think saying good morning as you walk past someone and they stop in their tracks to follow and excitedly talk to you. She may stay until the new thing catches her eye or until you finally slam the door in her face at your destination.
Erika has a deep connection with sound, she has speakers on her gloves and shoes. The only thing from her past she does have is a playlist, the music however only seems to upset her so she does her best to ignore it. Other than that this jolly gal is a walking boom box who likes to party! Definitely a normal hedgehog girl, even if her eyes flicker or seem to lightly glow.
But a stranger to the world needs a guide, incomes Ruse the Raccoon. She’s my tragic rowdy trash girl.
Ruse wants to be popular because if she becomes popular enough then all her problems will be solved! After all popular people are rich, powerful, and… wanted. They never go hungry and are adored by all. But, Ruse is far from popular, she’s a thief with no family and absolutely no friends. She makes it work though, her hopes never truly damped by all the adversity she faces. How does she do that… fake it till you make it of course! She collects several shiny things and “stylish” clothes that make her look cool. Her singular working light up shoes is one of her prized possessions.
Despite, her efforts to appear more cool, everyone knows her background. The other kids are relentless in their teasing of how much of a ruse her hole get up is. But Ruse is a confident and cool girl, way too cool to be hurt or bother by their words, definitely too cool. She’s so unbothered that “Ruse” is now what she calls herself, it’s way better than all the other things they call her and at least it sounds pretty.
The two meet and Ruse thinks Erika is an absolute weirdo, her kindness and smile pointed in her direction leaves Ruse a bit lost. More importantly she won’t leave Ruse alone. But once Ruse realizes that Erika is genuine and… an idiot. She won’t leave her side, Erika is overjoyed to have the company. The pair find the support they need in each other. But, don’t be fooled they absolutely bounce off each other’s energy and cause chaos and mayhem everywhere they roam.
