I'm glad the corpse retrievers were corpse retrieved
Reading Dungeon Meshi according to the timeline
15 March - (Senshi goes shopping in Merini Village)
(The Adventurer's Bible, pg 27, panel 7) + a panel somewhere in the manga i think?
16 March - Vol. 1 - (Falin eaten, Senshi joins, first meal)
Vol. 1
ch 1. Hot Pot ((vol 1 pg 186+187) Monster Tidbits: Walking Mushroom + Slime)
ch 2. Tart ((vol 1 pg pg 188) Monster Tidbits: Man-Eating Plants)
17 March - (Doni + Fionil, mandrakes)
Vol. 1
ch 3. Roast Basilisk ((vol 1 pg 190) Monster Tidbits: Basilisk)
ch 4. Omelet ((vol 1 pg 189) Monster Tidbits: Mandrakes)
ch 5. Kakiage
Before and after the attack.
I thought the brick got damaged in the fight, but it seems like Laois continued eating it until he got interrupted.
One of the frames in ep 8 as he looks away from Marcille in protest.
I like when Senshi's head is drawn like this, but it only just occurred to me that he's gotta be craning his neck backwards and looking up in the first one.
Falin and Holm using the gnome magic system in volume 6.
You can tell that Laios has an accent. His letters are more squishy and soft and Marcille's are more angular. He pronounces a ㅁ like it's an ㅇ.
His pronunciation gets a lot more angular between chapter 34 and 71.
And again when he casts water-walk in ch 79. Very angular
Foreshadowing from chapter 38.

Seemingly, the male-looking dryads have fruit and the female-looking ones have pollen. And Laios isn't surprised by it because he's not using their visual appearance to determine the sex of the plant.
(sidenote: he says they're unisexual in the anime and dioecious in the manga. Unisexual would be kind of like hermaphroditic? And dioecious means each plant has one of the things. I assume they changed it because dioecious species have unisexual individuals? But it sounded weird in the episode so I looked it up)
I like these sneaky frames. Anyone know what the Japanese says? Achoo?
