Rick was so sweet in S9E3 that the theory was, "He must be a robot again."

And now in S9E4 he was so cruel the new theory is, "This must be Evil Morty's backstory."

And the sad reality is, this is all Rick. He's just Like That. He's so unpredictable you almost wish he was cruel all the time. So you could stop hoping for him to be good and let him go.

The fact Morty was ready to accept Reese isn't real and Rick tricked him again because he still want that connection and someone who gonna give him hugs and be supportive, even thaught its all fake.

Honestly, I love it when characters relapse. When someone who’s gotten over their anger issues falls into a situation so out of their depth they fall back on their old habits. When someone who’s learned to open up becomes a recluse again in order to cope with something outside their control.

There’s just something so horrible, so toxic, about watching a character grow and then slip back into their old selves in order to cope, bc you know they still care, that they’re the same inside, but watching them hurt so hard they don’t know what else to do brings a sense of catharsis.

RICK AND MORTY SEASON 9 EPISODE 4 SPOILERS UNDER THE CUT

The end of this episode is so devastating. "It's a disease, it's a genetic disease, IT'S ALREADY IN YOU, MORTY!" AND MORTY'S FACE FUCK. Again I feel like Morty HAS to run away at the end, their relationship is deteriorating in front of our very eyes. The way Morty starts off angry, then sad, then absolutely haunted, the facial expressions oh my god...the artist knocked it out of the fucking park, my god. Another fucking gut punch of an ending, this season is SO peak

A few days ago, I had this weird dream. I can’t remember everything, but basically:

I was kinda Morty, and Morty was supposed to deliver a food van to a hotel… apparently there was an event or something going on.

BUT THERE WAS A ONE PROBLEM!

Problem: I didn’t know where the hell the bloody hotel was! I was in the middle of nowhere in the mountains 😭

Me, the whole time: Where the hell is that bloody hotel?!

Someone I actually know in real life comes up to me and just points toward the cliff as if it were a normal Tuesday, while I feel like I’m having a mental breakdown. She be like : over there

Me: What?! That’s a cliff!

Well, I walked over to the cliff, no idea what happened next. I was somehow teleported into the hotel.

Then I see Rick.

Rick: “A-ah, there you are, M-Morty, you’ve brought the food van with you!”

Suddenly I get angry. Before I realise it, I grab a plate of cake and hurl it across Rick’s face 💀

Then I wake up. No idea how Rick would have reacted. I would like to see it xD

Some writing advice I will never give up:

Your characters are allowed to be bad people. Your story is allowed to have no moral lesson.yyour ending is allowed to be sad. The villain can win. The good person can do something unforgivable. The lovers can destroy each other. You are allowed to write the thing that no one asked for and everything that everyone told you doesn’t work and you are allowed to not explain yourself.

It’s your story. Burn it down if you want to.

Morty didn't have a lot to do in The Jerrick Trap, but taking advantage of Rick's "touch my grandson and die" policy to get whatever he wants is pretty funny.
