one of my favorite tropes is one-sided rivalry to lovers - its amusing as hell bc its like "ugh i cant stand that guy!!" and the guy in question is like taking care of cancerous puppies and frolicking in flower fields "Oh Person A? yeah i think they're super cool!" and Person A is in the background shooting their best death glare while Person B is completely unaware

remember when in the very first chapter of thg katniss said that she's "not the forgiving type", and we as readers were expecting a salty, bitter protagonist. but then she turned out to be one of the most compassionate, kind and merciful characters in the book??
