Awkward ‘request for help’ time

On Thursday morning, @mistergaslight received word that his father, who had been ill for some months, had been taken to the ER. Later that afternoon, we learned that his condition was terminal, and he had refused further treatment. On our way home this morning, we got the news that his father had passed away 

Brian’s dad and stepmother’s funds were depleted from the weeks of care, and a neighbor very generously paid for his dad’s funeral arrangements. We need to help defray these costs, but we’re tapped out right now and could use some assistance, if you are willing and/or able to donate.

Obligatory Rules Post

I’ve gotten a bunch of new followers in the last week or so (Hello new followers! Thank you, Infinity War, for traumatizing us all.), and I wanted to lay out some basic info:

I am a queer, butch person who uses female pronouns (she/her). You will be respectful.

If I see you following me and I find out that you are any shade of phobic (homo/bi/trans/ace/queer), anti-Semetic, anti-Muslim, anti-feminist - basically if I see you hating on or calling for harm against marginalized people, you will be blocked. If you’re any of these things, unfollow now.

If you are the type of person who thinks that it’s totally acceptable to send anonymous internet hate (or non-anonymous internet hate) to artists on Tumblr urging them to harm themselves, get the fuck off of my blog.

I write both fan fiction (AO3) and original fiction (@aflinley | aflinley.com).

If you like my fan fiction, I happily accept Ko-fi donations, but they’re not required. Fan fiction is free and long may it remain so (but I will write more if I’m properly caffeinated).
