things I wish were in the netflix series from book 2 but weren’t: stephano brushing his knife against violets leg which is the scariest thing in the whole series stephano getting deadass pissed and telling klaus to get in the damn car because scary adults curse and this was also terrifying I want more terror and discomfort

I wish there were less microaggressive transmisogony with the agender character in the Netflix series BUT at least they are somewhat likable and not the atrocious mess that was in the book. I’m like, less grumpy. (this sounds like a paragraph they’d type)

i just wish the one character concerned w social justice/human rights/whatever you want to call it wasn’t the agender one. feels like they’re doing this thing where ppl kind of assume that only your average tumblr user (or someone who sounds like one) could care about that stuff idk if i’m making sense but yeah

also small beef with the ASOUE series: the baudelaires are canonically jewish SAY IT. SAY IT OUT LOUD.  like the ‘unless you’re atheists’ joke could’ve been followed up by a snappy klaus comeback but it wasn’t… also a third minor beef with the series is that they chose to cast white people as all of the kids so far (tho I imagine they’ll cast a non white actress for fiona?)
