So the other night I was lucky enough to grab a pair of tickets to The Tragically Hip show in London, Ontario. Before, during and since I've been really reflective on the current state of this magnificent Canadian band. The show Monday night is very likely the last time I will ever see Gord et al work their magic on stage. So often in life we do things that mean a lot to us, like tuck in our children, hug a loved one, eat at a favorite table or talk with a friend, for the last time. And most of those experiences come and go and we never know when the last time often will be. I guess this leads me to two thoughts I want to share. First is something that I think Gord is showing more articulately than anyone could hope to say it; if something is important to you do it while you can. And second, I am eternally grateful to have shared the world with those five guys from Kingston, Ontario. Thanks Hip. #thetragicallyhip #manmachinepoem #thehip
