As a production company we have been creating Theater a since 1993, with a focus on challenging and original work. This campaign will significantly help fund our production of Sam Shepard’s play True West opening late this summer in Portland, OR. We have wanted produce True West for a long time, and with your contributions we will finally make the leap. Our Shoes Are Red is fascinated by the power of language driven material, and True West is a monument of uniquely expressive writing that deals with challenging themes of social class, domestic struggle and artistic integrity. Help us fulfill our vision for this great play!
We want to raise $3,000 for True West through this campaign. The resources will be used mostly for set, stage properties and publicity for the show. We need to create a vintage, 1970’s southern California kitchen onstage and cover it with everything from to toasters to typewriters to precious antiques. Extensive promoting through multiple channels also requires strong funding. Your contributions will help us get the word out
To show our appreciation for your generous contributions, we have put together some great perks.
- $20- we offer a signed poster when you come see the show, or a digital copy sent to you.
- $50- we offer a ticket to the show as well as the poster.
-$100-we offer two tickets to the show as well as the poster
-$250- we offer all the previous giveaways, plus an invitation to come and sit in on a rehearsal of True West.
