My reworked goodwill painting

I redesigned an alien fighter I designed back in 2021. It's not too different overall. The biggest change here is the wing shape. I adjusted to a whats called a "box wing". This way it has some basis in theoretical aerospace engineering. The gradient shader is still a little buggy :^/.

Here's a sick top down perspective. I love the silhouette. I think the wing shape makes this plane look super fast. The gradient shader is still a little buggy and I didn't take the time to fix it just yet.

This is the original model. I'm still in love with this design (not the mesh lol) but I think I was able to improve on it!

Finished the second Sundog model! More renders and commentary after the break

This model will play the role of the interceptor, specializing movement speed, bypassing obstacles, and defensive stealth.

The design is mostly based on the YF-23. I love that plane so much I had to give it some representation in Sundogs. I haven't written up the stats and tactics for this one yet, but my notes say it can hover at high speed, ignore terrain and barriers, and take heat to increase it's flight speed. So thats cool.

Now that I have the designs for two playable craft I can really start on the text of the new rulebook. And hopefully set the their names in stone too. I'll be posting about the text of the rulebook too, use my tags to keep in touch 🐸 ✌️
