Hey person with executive dysfunction and a hypnosis/mind control kink. Tell me, are those two connected by any chance?
I'm pretty sure it's just a coincidence.

Hypnokink 101
with Faun DeSylva!
Get to know the kink that is limited only by your imagination, hypnosis! Requiring no physical interaction or any equipment aside from your very own mind, hypnokink is highly accessible, tailored especially to your desires, and can be done solo or partnered. Hypnosis can be entirely non-sexual and Safe For Work, while also resulting in euphoric levels of pleasure. If this tantalizes you, allow me to introduce you to the beauty that is hypnokink!
In this class, weâll discuss basic hypnosis practices and how they can benefit you, while exploring specifics about how we can interact with hypnokink from any position or role without compromising boundaries or comfort levels. The class is open to all, so if you or a loved one is curious about hypnosis or just want to explore something new, please come join us!

BTW this is next week!!!
can't think of a single instance where a musician from a band i like has left to do solo work and then had their work improve as a result. and in almost every case when a solo musician i like joins a band their work improves massively. bands are so good! the whole is so much more than the sum of the parts. we as a species solved this formula and people keep fucking with it
Ringo Starr had to leave the Beatles so he could do voiceover for Thomas the Tank Engine.

I can easily imagine Charmed hosting an improv show with hypnotists and subjects doing skits like this.
I don't see so many things about sensory overload inductions in the hypnokink community. There's some, but not as much as other styles.
One interesting application I've found with this style of induction is with resistance play. If a subject is being resistant, the simple act of naming different stimuli for them to pay attention to will to some degree force them to notice, giving you some direction over their attention that you can use to sneak past their resistance.
One time I was playing with a subject over text message, and they were resisting and giving me a challenge. So I decided to go for the sensory overload approach with a specific twist of making it a game for them to "prove" they weren't going into trance.
"If you aren't hypnotized, you'd be able to focus on multiple things at once, right?" And I listed more and more different senses they should pay attention to. Once I got to around five or six things, I gave them the classic "wouldn't it be so much nicer to just focus on one thing?" And then was able to drop them.
This probably works best on a subject who (like most hypnosubs) really does want to drop for you and the resistance is playful rather than someone that really wants to prove you can't drop them.
I think when a sub says "you can do whatever you want to me" what they're actually wanting is to not make decisions anymore, and they think by saying this they can foist the decision making off on the dom without having to do any of the work beforehand. But unfortunately to get to the Not Making Choices part of kink you do in fact have to make a Lot Of Choices beforehand and communicate those choices to your partner. This is an essential part of the process and skipping it is both unsafe and unfair for whoever you're playing with.
Not Making Choices is the reward for communicating clearly, not the default
This is an INCREDIBLY important part of kink and fetish lifestyle. Not Making Choices if the reward for communicating clearly, not the default. Say it again and again and then enforce it.

you can brainwash that guy into being a good person, but you're the one that's going to have to live with it and he's always going to wonder why you look at him with so much grief and horror when you think he isn't watching.
Obsession 2: Electric Boogaloo
I found a mindfulness app that sends random notifications to you through your day, at random times. The default messages are wholesome and cute.
But it's completely customizable... I mean, sure, random messages reminding you to be mindful is neat. But I want reminders that I'm a slut, or that I'm just an object. I want random triggers and a mantra that drop me and leave me drooling unexpectedly. I want to wake up edging and wondering what the fuck happened until I see the notification again as my head starts to get fuzzy and the room fades a way for the second, third, fourth time? Who knows how long its been.
Anyway, this seems like a great app to stay mindful of what it takes to be a good, obedient girl, so why not give it a whirl?
Multi-line reminders... Oof.
Realizing that yes, my tongue is indeed out, I clicked on the little arrow to see the rest of the text:
Oh. Fuck.
App installed, now I desperately need suggestions to put in here because I can't think of any good ones đ
This would actually be great for long-term trigger conditioning, just a trigger to bring on a short, deep trance, letting your subject enjoy that random moment of emptiness before they come back up.
It's great because the weak link with conditioning via trigger phrase is the need for repetition, to keep in fresh in a subject mind, so long as rhe trigger was conditional, stopping you from blissing out inbthe middle of a board meeting, with a customer or freinds, loved ones ect, truly a fascinating idea.
I want more in between!!!
It seems there are 2 types of content: normal hypnosis with zero fetishistic intentions, or shitty porn where they just use hypnosis to get a girl.
I need hypnosis where there's little to no sex but there is TENSION! I like it long and drawn out, I want to see them resist a little, want to see their sleepy eyes glaze over slowly as they struggle to think... thats what really turns me on T_T
AMEN! So few porn producers (and they have been decimated by censorship) get this.
I have thoughts about this. If you look at horror or comedy, it's tension and release. You get people's attention, you raise the tension. People want to see the joke or the monster, and then you release it in a sudden burst with a punchline or a jumpscare or you flip them one card while putting down two more face down.
Hypnosis is the same goddamn thing. You get people's attention, you do some convincers and put them on tenterhooks that something is about to happen... then you yell sleep and they release that tension and drop. Hypnosis is story.
Porn (well, video porn) has no tension, and barely any story. Romance novels and the good shit like Heated Rivalry are all about the tension, even more than the sex. It's all about want.
Bodies by themselves aren't hot. Porn sex, no matter how efficient and perfect, can be boring. What makes it hot is the tensions, the desire and want of the person moving that body around. A mindless drone is just a mindless drone, but seeing someone who has always secretly wanted and feared being a mindless drone finally become that is something beyond words. The fascination and the horror and the joy of release.
I think people don't want porn, not really. They want to see want, the fire that burns inside us.
like it sounds like just being made to have good habits and behave would be one of those stupid unsexy things that people just pretend is sexy or try too hard to make sexy just to try and encourage people to do it. but it's really genuinely sincerely sexy to me. like i want someone to make me be patient when i'm feeling impatient and calm me down and stop me when i want to be mad about something that like does not matter at all. it feels so controlling in a way that a lot of other stuff doesn't to me
My hottest, spiciest take when it comes to Hypno is nearly everyone is far too sexualized with it. Itâs fucking hot, turning your sub into a panting, drooling mess of a Slut desperate for even the slightest hint of Pleasure is fun, yes.
But the connection you can make, the beautiful things you can do with your Sub, the ways you can help them, the ability you have as a hypnotist to work your way deep into their mind, and give them things. Years ago Riot and I called this our Wholesome Hypno era. Now, we have realized that itâs just how we prefer to do things.
Strongly agree with this.
'When I click you will take your top off' was the magnet that pulled adolescent me into the hobby. The power and sexual aspects are what brings most subs and tists to the yard, so to speak. It's still a very sexually satisfying activity to me.
A couple decades of experiences though and I found much, much more than this.
Have you ever seen a subjects mind expressing itself through world building? The places it conjures, the expressions it makes, the creativity, the sensitivity, the intimacy of places like that.. have taken my breath away, over the years.
Even something as simple as someone, in that full openness and honesty that perhaps only a trance or a deeply intimate relationship can allow, give you their insecurities to hold in your hand. And how holding them, just holding them, safely is something that feels.. like a privilege, a pleasure, an honour? This is certainly not any kind of 'call out'. If you are here for the finger snaps and orgasm triggers, fill your boots.
But if you are perhaps aging out of your twenties or mid-thirties and you are looking for next steps, I just want to assure you there are many, and they are more wonderful than you might think.
âFor example, if youâre trying to convince people to boycott a segregated store, your object is to convince them that boycotting the store will have a strategic effect, not that desegregation is morally important. For whatever reason, on a cognitive level human beings have a really hard time with this. Smucker cites an example of a Lefty roleplaying session where people were tasked with selling an action to people who agreed with them on principle but didnât see the strategic merit of the action. Surprisingly, the sellers couldnât make the conceptual switch to sell strategic merit: instead, they doubled down on THIS ISSUE IS IMPORTANT â even though it had been stressed to them that the people they were selling to bought into the importance of the issue. People react poorly to âthis is important, so do WHATEVER I SAYâ; they want to be convinced that what youâre proposing will work.â
Source.
You should change the way you try to change people minds. This is so important.
It's so important that you change the way you change peoples minds.
Thank you for your time, I realize that you're busy and you don't think it will make any difference to change the way you argue your issues but THIS IS SO IMPORTANT.
Have I told you that you should change your approach in the way you convince people to change their minds? Because you should. The way you interact with people is very important. You should change it. Because it's important.
The IMPORTANCE of this ISSUE cannot be UNDERSTATED.
You should change the way you argue. I'm not arguing with you. No, you're not arguing with me. Why would we be arguing?
Trust me.
You should change the way you do things so you can change the way they do things.
It's IMPORTANT.
women keep trying to do evil mindbreak hypnosis on me by being nice to me and telling me i'm doing a good job and offering me treats and saying i'm a really good girl and that i should try to be kinder to myself and maybe just take this moment to enjoy, just the two of us, no pressure, no mask, nothing more to be afraid of or to constrict or constrain, just be present and feel the warmth and comfort that comes from being cared for. theyre doing this because they want to hurt me sexually
Actually here's the quoted thread too:
Took a long time to learn out way out of this box because we were raised up in the wild west of the early internet/hypno-community where consent was not taught even a fraction of how it is these days (every time I think about what our first hypnotist Teishu did with us we get SO upset, man was a serial-abuser and we are always on the lookout to ensure he never comes back)
The thing that makes "safe and appropriate" so bad is that it basically tells the hypnotee that their safety is their own responsibility and works on the same logic as "no one can do anything in hypnosis that they didn't want to do"
The thing is? People can be coerced and tempted to stretch their limits and when someone is in a suggestible state they cannot be trusted to have unguided discretion on what is or isn't safe, especially when their perspective is in an altered state.
The correct way, from our experience, is to encourage subject agency not by saying "you can and will keep yourself safe" (itself a little better than the "safe and appropriate" language) but by informing them that no matter how far we go into scene, you'll remain aware enough to keep yourself safe.
Lotte's post is right when it says that a hypnotist should not treat agency and safety as gifts to be given. Subject agency is a hypnotee's responsibility and it's important to emphasize.
One of the things that we always brush into in our teaching is that we are HUGE advocates for "keep reality in the room" - people we trust, like and have played with in the past have criticized us, noting that our dissociative disorder skews our ability to be objective in this regard. So with the note that I do have a bias-- I want to reiterate.
Keep reality in the scene.
Trust on both sides of the watch relies on both people engaged in the play being able to safe word AT ANY TIME and that means that a hypnotee needs to specifically be told and taught to break scene and self-advocate at the first sign of discomfort. That alone causes some people to dry up because they want their brainwashing fantasies to be completely mindless... and I do think that CNC and edge play scenes can be aspired to but they should 1000% be after a rapport and routine has been built up enough that the hypnotee will know their limits and be able to break scene without thinking about it.
But like any conditioning that has to be trained. You can't just "safe and appropriate" your way into someone automatically breaking out of a deeply involved scene.
What one of our partners does with me is remind that I am a good girl when I take care of myself and that a good girl listens to their body when it tells them things, it informs their partner when their mind is wandering, it knows how to wake up when something distracts its attention and knows not to compromise its own safety by being altered in situations where full attention is required.
And that requires a level of training too. "You'll only go into trance when it is safe and appropriate" does not have the same guidance that "and if you're in a situation that requires your full attention, such as needing to drive or someone else outside of this scene needing your attention, you can just take a breath and draw yourself up, remembering to be alert and conscious before engaging in any tasks" like that's MINIMAL but it gives instructions that are not "don't do the thing"
Especially as hypnosis does not work with negative instructions.
"Don't think about a pink elephant" being the best example.
You need positive and directed instruction. You need to build a framework of self-advocacy and safety before you start taking that away and you need both sides of the watch to be on constant vigilance until that awareness is second nature.
We tend to be a little preachy with scene safety and as mentioned before-- not everyone shares our opinion-- but like-- at the very least, hypnotee agency is not something GIVEN, it's something trained and established <3
The Five Stages of Grief too! As someone who was in science, so much of these catchy notions people get fascinated with are not based on anything more than someone saying them really confidently, and with access to some kind of publicity machine. You should not respect such things any more as science or wisdom than what your drunk buddy (who can sometimes be very insightful!) told you the other night.
