There are people who have a home, and then there is Seojun 'Ren' Han. A name that sounds like smoke, unsure whether it wants to disappear or stay. By day, he sits in a small shaman house, unremarkable between neon lights and concrete, as if the city only half accepted him. People come to him when their world starts to crack — when things whisper at night that make no sense in daylight. When loss is no longer just a feeling, but a presence in the room. Seojun listens to them, but not like someone who wants to help, rather like someone who knows that listening can sometimes be more dangerous than answering. Because inside him, there is no empty space. There is something, something ancient. Not a spirit as told in stories, not a demon that can be named and banished. It is more like a second pulse that doesn’t beat in the same rhythm as his. Like a shadow that doesn’t follow his body, but moves ahead of his will. Since that ritual, the one he should never have performed, never should have completed, they have been sharing the same breath. Sometimes “Virel” is silent, and sometimes “Virel” speaks. Not loudly, not directly, more like a thought that feels as if it has always been there. Like truths that don’t feel good. Like memories he never lived. Like emotions that are not his, and yet pass through his hands when he lifts them. Seojun does not fight ghosts, he fights the possibility of one of them staying. And the tragic part is: he is no longer sure which of them was there first.
The broken protector, a vessel of something ancient with quiet intensity and a “I’ll carry it alone” energy, a morally grey savior, whos always one step away from losing control, study in spirit communication & exorcism, ritual-based sealing & cleansing, he can sense emotional and spiritual fractures in people and acts as a “gate” between realms. Every use of his power strengthens the entity inside him. His hands tremble after every ritual, he hardly sleeps and when he does, his dreams blend with those of the creature; he avoids mirrors at night, and his voice changes slightly when “Virel" speaks.
