11 Self-Defense Techniques (That Even A Child Could Use)
These are great! These are all really useful methods of defending yourself and I actually learned most of these in my Krav Maga classes.
I would have to go up against people (usually guys) twice my size and could easily overpower me, but these tricks DO work and they don’t require a lot of strength.
Reblog to save a life
Sorry to be that person but yall should only feel you’ve learned something from this if youve practiced it physically with a partner over and over again. Just looking at a gif really doesn’t help your body know how to defend itself.
Also yes it is good to turn around and fight the attacker trying to choke you, but you SHOULD defend the choke hold and should learn how in case the attacker makes it difficult for you to turn around. The first thing is to get your hand underneath the cloth, of if he’s using his arms, learn how to defend that type of chokehold. If someone is looking for a chokehold, keep your chin tucked, elbows tucked but hands up by your face to protect your neck and make it difficult for the attacker to get the chokehold sunk.
But again, none of this is enough to just look at on Tumblr and doesn’t replace time you spend physically learning how to pull off these moves. Some might look doable but when you try you can’t figure out how to make it work. Other moves might look hard but turn out to be intuitive. The point is this requires physical learning, and I’m really wary of how this sort of thing gives people a false sense of confidence.

With all of the COVID-19 news and panic going on, the U.S. Government has been sneakily trying to pass the so called EARN IT Bill which would remove end-to-end encryption on messages and calls, and allow a scanning software to read all of them. Websites that don't comply will lose protections.

Text for S.3398 - 116th Congress (2019-2020): EARN IT Act of 2020
Shit! This is real. It’s sponsored by Lindsay Graham so you know that it’s bad. It’s being pushed under the guise of preventing child exploitation, like SESTA-FOSTA was, and according to my understanding of it, forces web services to turn over private messages.
Ok, so I did more than ten minutes of research on this and HOLY FUCK!!! Basically, nothing you do on the internet is gonna be safe, everything gets recorded and if you so much as make a peep about anything remotely illegal, you’re kinda screwed. This is gonna mean serious trouble for LGBT folks if other world governments can build off of this.
This is where killing net neutrality was heading all along. Fight this tooth and nail!!

This is very good.

i really wish more people understood that when you're answering customer surveys, anything less than a 10 out of 10 is treated as a failure, and generally anything less than a 6 is a catastrophic failure
you gave the employee a 5/10 because that's right in the middle, and it was a pretty average transaction? that employee is probably going to get some kind of reprimand for that- a 5 is totally unacceptable in my store, even if it's the "average" option. A totally well-meaning customer gave me a 7/10 because "nobody's perfect!" and I was reprimanded. Seriously, uber drivers, call center employees, the teenage clerk at the corner store that prints a customer survey link on each receipt- unless they actually, literally told you to go fuck yourself, give them the highest score possible.
i’ll never not love how absolutely noisy huskies are.
my grandma’s husky was the absolute angriest and whiniest monster anyones ever met and i loved her
