“leon!” you shouted from the bedroom, nestled under the covers. your nintendo switch rested in your hands, the screen reflecting in your glasses as you scrutinized your work.
you heard his grunt of response, hulking figure leaned against the bathroom doorframe. his eyes were low, blonde hair tousled and damp, pajama pants hung low on his hips and his shirt absent. you admit, you got distracted before shaking your head and presenting him the switch.
leon neared, settling next to you. he felt your warm face rest against his shoulder as he cradled the device, gunmetal irises analyzing—
“this the game you told me about?” he mused, using the pink console thumb sticks (a tiny paw print on each one) to twist the mii. “uh-huh! isn’t he cute? i had to draw your hair,” you explained, pointing to each little detail that you did.
leon intercepted your hand, pressing the back of it to his lips with a fond smile, “you’re pretty much asking me if i’m cute. it does look like me though.”
“perfect, what do you want to wear? i have an aviator jacket, a sailor moon dress—“
his gaze landed on the nightstand, where an untouched cup of medicine sat.
“baby,” he directed your face to him, frowning softly at the heat that wafted off your skin, “you didn’t take your medicine.” your eyes jerked to the cup, recognition falling over your features, “oh. i forgot.”
leon grabbed the treacherous cup, looking at you expectantly.
“okay, but do you want the jacket or do you want a t-shirt? i might can draw your gear…” you trailed off when his eyes narrowed in quiet warning, a displeased sigh leaving your lips. you accepted your fate, taking the cup and drinking the horrid liquid. leon rubbed your back comfortingly when you grimaced.
“the jacket is fine, honey. did you make yourself?”
“yeah,” you coughed, “now i just need to make us fall in love. i made claire, too, so…you might have to fight for my affection.”
“just like real-life, huh?” he groaned, gently tugging you back with him. he sat against the headboard, feeling your back press to his chest. you held your switch where you could both see, and he watched fondly as his little mii was deposited on the island.
he listened to you fondly ramble about island layout and future miis, occasionally lifting a hand to check your temperature.
eventually, you’d fallen asleep. leon cautiously took the console, and remembered to save the game before setting it aside. he kept you tucked in his chest as he slid beneath the covers, lips pressing sweetly against your head.
leon hoped you loved him in every universe—even if it’s a nonexistent one.
