Well, after drawing 88 different skeletal characters, here it is, the full series of "A Buncha Boneheads"! I was originally going to try and sell this as a poster but after looking into it, I don't think I can do that unless I want to deal with several dozen copyright laws.
This was quite the fun little exercise for me- the biggest challenge was trying to emulate the art styles of so many different series and properties. There are definitely more skull-headed characters out there that I could add, but frankly I think a nice even 88 is good enough, and there are other projects I want to work on for the future. Overall I'm pretty proud of this.
With that said, let me know if I've made a spelling mistake or something anywhere on here- I've tried my best but I just know I missed one or two somewhere.

Rango is one of my favorite films ever, and Rattlesnake Jake is one of my favorite fictional snakes. His design is awesome, especially his gun-rattle; his demeanor is theatrical yet his “grim reaper“ reputation is well earned from the very real threat he poses, and his confidence is so great he not only goads Rango into shooting him point blank, he hands him the gun and aims it at his own head, knowing full well he won’t do it. Yet in spite of his villainous personality, Jake still has some principles, chastising Rango’s cowardice and respecting his bravery later.
In designing human Rattlesnake Jake I went for a more stylized design to try and emulate his presence in the film, always looming over others and dominating every shot he’s in, so I gave him long hair and a full length leather duster along with his iconic bandoliers. Probably not the most comfortable thing to wear in the desert but it gives him some extra snakelike swishiness as well as adds to his Grim Reaper persona. Humanized Rango and Beans there were sort of last minute designs, but as far as Rango goes, I tried to model him somewhat off of Victor Van Dort from Corpse Bride, another voice acting role of Johnny Depp’s.

Though never stated outright, when I first did this challenge I was sort of hoping that I’d end up with some kind of unifying “theme” for the whole piece. I eventually just went with the characters that were either most requested (Viper and Chrysalis, particularly) or just caught my interest.
Though looking at it now, I suppose the theme would be “Legoshi surrounded by crazy evil bitches”
This one might be a bit out of nowhere, but this here’s a fan-comic based on the works of the ever-so-talented Trevor Henderson, who specializes in terrifying found-footage photoshop monsters, including the popular Siren Head and the subject of this comic, Cartoon Cat! Last night as I was finishing up the last of my latest batch of commissions, I was also watching some youtube videos regarding Cartoon Cat and Henderson’s monsters, and for whatever reason I was immediately inspired to draw this comic. I’m honestly surprised I managed to draw this so quickly.
This has a few more digital touch-ups than my sketches usually get, using the dodge/burn tools to change the lighting and add a few shadows. I try to keep digital touch-ups to a minimum when it comes to sketches, but I feel the end product looks better than it would have if I has just left it as-is.
