Inktober Day 1 - Crystal

this is my fourth time participating in inktober, lets see how long ill last this year.

my 2021 art summary. below the cut you can find me rambling about my 2021 art journey with all of its highs and lows.

2021 was a pretty interesting year in terms of art of me. I started the year off with a big Homestuck obsession, going all the way to May, which resulted in one of the most productive art phases I ever had. Seriously, the speed at which I was chucking out new artwork was revolutionary for me, even though it probably doesn't look like that to anyone else. What can I say, I'm horrible at finishing drawings. Well, for the months following, I returned to my usual pace of drawing, at times even less than usual. Then October hit and I actually managed to finish Inktober for the first time ever. I think I've been participating for about four years and with every year, I managed to do more drawings. Actually drawing all 31 illustrations was a great success for me. Here's to hoping that I'll manage to finish the illustrations on time next year. To be honest, November and December were pretty frustrating for me. I had next to none motivation to draw and oftentimes, I simply lacked the time to do so. At least I can confidently say that I will finish the year with one last drawing tomorrow. It has become a tradition for me to do a New Years illustration on the 30th/31th of December and I started with this year's illustration today. And it's going pretty well! It's a great relief for me to being able to draw confidently again. Let's hope that I can carry this into the new year. I hope your 2022 will be productive and super fun! Happy New Year, everyone!
