David and Gwen were Ultimate Camper and a Reserve Core student respectively. They graduated before The Tradgedy, and are now members of Future Foundation. They were the teachers of class 79, containing all the campers, the wood scouts, and Erin. Sasha and Tabii were Erin’s reserve core best friends.

Its either in a universe where the og Danganronpa games didn’t happen and The Tradgedy was accidentally orchestrated by Campbell as a warmongering scam gone wrong, or it’s set after/during the games, The Campers being a bunch of Lil’ Ultimates that the future foundation saved and shipped off to an undisclosed camp site with Gwen and David as ‘counslers’, keeping the kids far away from the 'ultimate hunt’.

In the former, jasper is David’s best friend since childhood in the Reserve Core. He died in a Campbell scheme gone wrong that was televised; it looks like something Campbell did on purpose, thus starting The Tradgedy, where Campbell gets more and more tangled in his own lies and schemes and plans and drags the whole world down with him, oops. He was the former headmaster of Hopes Peak. Class 79 are locked up ala trigger happy havoc. You ever seen SAO Abriged? That’s kinda the idea; Campbell panicked and is keeping these kids hostage until he finds a way to weasel his way out of responsibility for all this shit.

(If you still want a killing game) Unfortunately, a mysterious force finds its way into the school; some Crazy Cultists that Campbell worked with at some point think this is the apocalypse for told by the almighty Zeemug, and they believe class 79 to be the perfect sacrifices to bring about the new world or something. They drive the kids to start killing each other.
