Hello everyone, it's been a while I know, I lowkey couldn't think of anything for birdflash for a WHILE. But I'm thinking the batfamily hyperfixation might be coming back again so have (my version) brainrot of:
What if an just started dating Dick and Wally took Damian and Tim in permanently after Bruce "died"?
Also, in this AU, they wouldn't know anything about Damian until after Bruce had died. I haven't decided why yet, but that is the important part.
As well as, although mentioned briefly Tim doesn't go after Bruce, I haven't decided yet how he comes back because of that change just know that change is there.
So here's some main storyline stuff!
When Bruce first died, Dick and Wally had decided to move to the manor for a bit to help Tim
They find out about Damian as soon as they get there. They learn who his mother is, and don't want him to go back to the league
It takes a while for them to actually bond and start to get along with Damian, as well as even longer for Damian to even start accepting them, including Tim.
When Damian first goes out as Robin, Dick and Wally give him the ultimatum that the first few times he's out as Robin, he has to be with both Batman and Flash.
After the first few times, he usually sticks by Batman, Flash making appearances in Keystone again after weeks in Gotham
Dick and Wally show him his first documentary, and Damian is instantly enthralled by it.
Damian is a bit younger in this AU, being around eight, although he has the same amount of training as he had in canon.
Tim is fifteen in this au, so I'm de-ageing him by like a year. technically not as important as Damian's age but I felt it was worth mentioning.
Damian did still try to kill Tim, but only the one time before Wally and Dick came to the manor and basically watched the kid like a hawk.
Tim and Damian get close a lot faster in this AU, since Damian learned a little emotional regulation from Dick and Wally.
Tim gave Damian the mantle of Robin, and they both helped each other train, as Dick and Wally trained them as well.
Tim still becomes Red Robin, but doesn't actually go looking for Bruce in this AU. He learns a lot of his League skills from Damian.
The first time all four go on patrol together Tim and Damian try to show off their ability to work together to the two.
Dick and Wally think it's the sweetest thing ever.
The four frequently bounce between Gotham, Bludhaven and Keystone as Dick and Wally do hero work around there as well.
Bruce ends up being gone for two and a half years.
In those two and a half years Wally and Dick get married, and adopt both Tim and Damian. (Important note: Damian is now Ten while Tim is Seventeen)
When Bruce comes back, none of the five know exactly what to do, Dick, Wally, Damian, and Tim have all become a little family and none of them want to be separated.
Bruce, accepts this for the most part, Dick and Wally did have frequent arguments with him in the beginning about getting to know his kids. as well as frequent fights after Bruce (while not intentional) did something that hurt both the kid's feelings.
basically when Bruce comes back there is a lot of fighting between the three adults.
So far that's the ideas I have for this au, I don't have anything sold for the ending and a lot of it is just small ideas floating around in my head.
Fun Fact: This au originated from and Idea I had years ago about Dick and Wally having to take in both Damian and Bart for whatever reason.
I aged Bart up enough to where one of the ideas I had was Damian struggling with being unlike the other kids in his school would act out a lot, yelling at Dick and Wally more then he ever did before as well as sneaking out and overall making bad decisions.
So, Dick and Wally would call up Bart who's in college to hopefully try and get tot he bottom of why Damian is acting the way that he is.
This wasn't the main part of the AU though, the main part was The four getting used to basically becoming a family, and focusing a lot on Bart and Damian becoming brothers.
I didn't end up actually writing this AU for two reasons, one being I couldn't figure out how to make it flow well and the second being, I decided it was too out of character for Damian.

Dick and Wally once snuck two 8" Jimmy John's sandwhiches into the movie theater. Along with a little baggie of chocolate espresso beans, a little baggie of Swedish Fish, two little gold fish packets, two big homemade peanut butter cups and a Toblerone bar.
This headcanon is brought to you by: me and bestie did this the other day. It was fucking hilarious.
My best friend's graduation is tomorrow and my brain is in full The Last of Us brainrot but I was checking this account again and decided birdflash going to each other's graduations.
Wally is obviously the first of the two that graduates high school.
Bruce almost didn't let Dick go because of some scandals that the media tried to put on them
Dick convinced him to let him go
After the ceremony Dick hugged Wally so tightly and kept telling him how proud he was.
When Dick graduated 1-2 years later Wally was so excited to go.
The two were just beginning to acknowledge that there was something between them at that point.
So after the ceremony Wally and Dick are just kinda attached to each other and giggling and whispering.
Wally graduates from college and Dick throws him a party with all their friends.
After the party the two 🍋 and when they're done and laying in each other's arms Dick whispers to Wally how proud of him he is.
When Dick 'graduates' from the police academy Wally puts together a small get together with their friends, knowing he isn't a huge party fan.
They go to all of their friends graduations and all of Dick's siblings graduations (including Damian's 8th grade one that the boy insists is ridiculous and 'this isn't some big accomplishment Richard I finished 8th grade that's all.' But Dick and Wally both see how he preens just slightly at their praise.)
I don't know how much sense this made but it's almost 6 am and in running in 3hrs of sleep lol.
Dick and Wally's first date was a disaster, but not because of the media but because Bruce paid Barbara and Tim to spy on them and they kept accidentally causing issues.
After the media outed the two a lot of the woman who were in love with Dick started a petition to send him to conversion therapy.
Bruce was mailed said petition and held a press conference where he burned it in front of thousands of people
For their one year anniversary Wally cashed in a favour with Bruce and got the location of Haley's Circus' next show and took Dick.
Dick in turn the next year got Barry to go back in time and get something for Wally that he thought was lost forever.
When they first had 🍋 they weren't together and wouldn't get together for another year.
Damian a few months after becoming Robin meets Wally while him and Dick are on patrol and he watched the two interact for the first time. It took him two weeks to realize the two were dating.
After the realization that they were dating Damian proceeded to somehow get batcow to sit on top of Wally and than lectured the red head for an hour on all the different ways he could kill him.
When Dick walked into the Batcave to see the whole situation happening it took him ten minutes to stop laughing long enough to tell Damian to stop.
They pulled the propose at the same time thing.
All the batfamily and flashfamily knew both were going to propose.
There are at least 16 different videos of the proposals happening.

Dick and Wally have been doing group costumes since they met.
Once they started dating they did the cheesiest couples costumes they could think of. (ie. Mickey and Minnie, Harry and Draco, Salt and Pepper, Magenta and Blue, Chili and Bandit. To name a few)
One year Tim and Damian were staying with them for Halloween and they made him dress up. It was the same year they dressed as Chili and Bandit. They forced the two to dress up as Bluey and Bingo. They both complained because the characters were girls.
When the two first started dating they dressed up as Charlie and Nick.
Back at it again, I'm a big fan of Dick being Damian's dad, for sure, (I have some choice opinions about how comic book Bruce is raising his kids lol) I think the concept is just super sweet and I just love their dynamic.
Now. I am also a nightflash/birdflash shipper. Wally and Dick being in love is my everything they have such a cute relationship.
