I'll be so real with you all. I don't feel like surviving as a trans person is revolutionary enough. I think we need to become communists.
look I don't like to get political on here and I'm not the person to look up to as a leader but like it has to be said I think. Everyday I despair over the state of the world and my only hope I have lies in the idea that some day we could radically change the world for the better, and I want to encourage people to hope that after we make it through all of this we'll live in a better world and not the same one we lived in before.
Survival is not praxis, it is solely what is required to enact praxis.
Survival is hard in a world structured on systems of oppression that take everything from us. For those of us for whom survival is easier, it is our responsibility to build for those whom survival is all they can do.
But you cannot build without a plan, and you cannot plan without correct understanding. Just as you should only trust the design of a house to engineers and architects, else your house may collapse and kill you, you must only trust principled and educated communists to design and build a revolution, else it may do the same. We must be versed in dialectical materialism -- to correctly analyze the world -- and materialist dialectics -- to change the world with intention -- in order to bring about the change we need. We must learn these components of communist theory and much more alongside them. However, never forget:
It’s not enough to carry a vulgar sense of elitism and specialness about the knowledge you’ve acquired. This is itself a form of incompleteness of the truth. The truth is partisan. Reality has a Marxist-Leninist quality. To just haphazardly spew suspicion without elucidating the nature of ideology is to lend energy to reaction.

Building towards revolutions is incredibly difficult in the west. Our bourgeois class and our states use the wealth gained from capitalism and imperialism to fund both bourgeois propaganda to keep workers confused as to why the world works as it does, as well as the violence against their people to keep them in line. They will also divert revolutionary potential and the agitation of workers towards liberalism -- see the ineffective No Kings protests just recently. All that time and energy and potential spent to accomplish... What?
We cannot simply stand by and do nothing. We must educate ourselves and each other, we must train and develop cadres, we must be prepared for future moments where revolutionary potential reaches a critical mass -- and these moments will come more frequently than ever. The contradictions of capitalism are all plain for everyone to see, they are incapable of being ignored.
A better world is possible, but without our education and preparation all that is achievable is a slow death spent thrashing in the dark against an enemy we cannot percieve, or missing our chance again and again and again. Arm yourself with knowledge and join your comrades to apply the truth you glean to change the world.
