       It took everything for Hannah not to burst out snickering, knowing now that Yuki was, in fact, genuine in his sadness. It wouldn’t move… it was a rock and he was sad it wouldn’t move.

       “A-Ah… Rocks… d-don’t move though?”

     「Are you saying... it was... dead from the start?」 Yuki couldn’t believe it, all the time he spent taking care of it, giving it baths and taking it for walks... Was it all in vain?       「Is that why it wouldn’t eat?」

       “Just take my word for it silly!” Hannah giggled, feeling only slightly bad that she had eaten all his goodies. She’d find some way to make up for it, but he was so cute when he was pouting. Like a sad puppy! “Ooooorrr… you could eat one for yourself!”

       “Like I said, I only ate most of them. There’s still two or three left!” 

     「You didn’t eat everything...?」 He stared at the remaining cookies in disbelief. He felt suddenly really happy he could eat those cookies, specially because he was really hungry.      「Hey, um... sorry I lashed out like that.」 I must look really stupid right now.

     Nope, he wasn’t sure at all. Actually,      he was struggling to carry that many      books. Really, he needed to stop      buying books that were half their      original price or less.

      「Sure.」 He took half of the pile of books the other was carrying and almost fell over. Not that it was too heavy for him to carry, but he was so used to reading pocket books and paperbacks that he forgot just how much real books could weight. He was glad he didn’t actually fall though, it’d be really lame.       「Why did you buy so much though?」 He was honestly curious. Was the other opening a bookstore or something?
