David O’Doherty is absolutely one of my favourite people ever, I dont know why his style and mannerisms are so comforting to me but whenever im feeling down at all I just remember the time I watched him trying to catch a moth half way through a show.

After watching the musical 4 times in 3 days, I yearn for a Wind in the Willows university au. Time to get writing I suppose.

My favourite detail in the wind in the willows musical at the moment is in the open road, on the lyric 'forget your oars cause you wont need 'em', Rat covers Moles ears. Its such a great little moment between them

The whole show is so rich with little details like that im still only just picking up on after rewatching at least 30 odd times at this point. There’s so many moments between Ratty & Mole especially in the background i love them.

I dont have many Christmas traditions, but every year on Christmas eve I do sit down and watch a select few things that really just get me. (The other items on the list are a Tom Scott video and a ‘Tardisrescue’ Railway Series story).

The latest addition is the Wassailling Mice from of course Wind in the Willows, it has made up such a huge chunk of my year now from the very first time I watched the musical while in early prep for our version we put on in July.

I’ve never experienced a piece of media that ive been so utterly enamoured and obsessed with for this long and although I do watch the musical on more than monthly basis right now i know there will be a time long in the future where i become slightly less obsessed but every Christmas I will still make sure to listen to those adorable mice. (Thank you so so much to the brilliant tiny fandom for all things Wind in the Willows here, it’s been incredible to share such a niche fascination over the last 6 months and that will be continuing on my end for the foreseeable haha)

he just been busy writing up some poetry

this is for an old show called jackanory and episodes are just pretty well known people reading classic kid stories. there's 5 episodes of the wind in the willows narrated by bernard cribbins (my headcanon voice for my ratty)

been trying to find a way to watch them but couldn't. not exactly lost media because i know bbc has copies but i just don't know how or where to watch them

I did not know Jackanory had some Wind In the Willows episodes! Although hardly surprising to be fair.

Also Ratty’s poetry is a such an underused part of his character- especially in 2017 where it is used 0 times haha.
