i felt like i was losing my mind bc i kept confusing different b7 episodes, thinking of the one where blake is shirtless in a mine. so i was watching it with my bf and i kept saying “i think this is the one where blake gets shirtless” and it kept NOT HAPPENING? and i was concerned that i sounded like a thirsty lunatic 😭
in my defense, i think there’s multiple episodes that involve mining or seem to be filmed in a quarry 😭
Autistic social anxiety is not "social anxiety" in the typical sense. An anxiety disorder is defined as an "irrational fear". So for example, imagine someone who is afraid to speak in case everyone looks at them and goes "what the heck are you saying you wierdo." If that person is neurotypical, then the chances are that they're very unlikely to get that response. Therefore their fears are irrational, and that is true "social anxiety". If you put an autistic person in that scenario, on the other hand, then probably the reason they're afraid of that response is because they've received it many times before. They're fear is based on repeated past experiences, therefore it is not irrational and not the simply an anxiety disorder. That's why people giving the classic social anxiety responses to autistic people is so unhelpful. "Just go out there and talk to people, it'll be fine," or "keep pushing yourself out of your comfort zone and you'll get more confident," don't work if the problem is real and not just in your head.
Genuinely had an amazing time watching Blake's 7! And couldn't help myself but do a lil cross stitch pattern 🫶🏻💙

I am so thankful that books & reading exist
It almost sounds emotional explaining this scene as Tarrant seeking Avon approval for his action and getting ignored
But then if we add that context
Avon is ignoring Tarrant to nerd over some rock
Avon's smile is adorable.
Big’s Finish Incentive once again give u too much Tarrant being himbo and an Avon simp
- Federation interrogator calling out Tarrant reaction when he calling out that he see Avon as leader—The way his “eyes” said it
-Tarrant also still believe that Avon won’t let him die
- Baby got electrified after claiming he still think of himself as federation
- Baby got electrified again saying he is as keen to find Blake and Jenna as Avon. This evil boy lol
- Him acting out as Avon’s servant, and calling him “sir”
- They don't even know if the ship they rent are strong enough, Tarrant just Tarrogant his way to the atmosphere and they are drowning
- Once again Tarrant acts as Avon’s bodyguard. This whole story is just serving us so much toyboy Tarrant
-They now in Federation’s base doing another disguise and Tarrant was like “Now it's your turn to be my subordinates. At this point I think they are into this power dynamic role play a little too much
- The bounty hunter Bracheeni just mentioned the ‘bound’ Avin and Tarrant has built for each other
- Avon taking Tarrant’s hand to intensify their isotopes to give signal to Orac and when they teleport Tarrant make jokes about them holding hand once again
In conclusion, I think Big Finish writers are secretly a shipper
I'm thinking about Tarrant again and how this boy seems to be seeking an older figure for him to look up to. His brother's complex went so deep. The little that we had of him and Deeta in the series could really tell how much Del is clinging to his brother and how hurt he is left alone on Earth, which makes him feel like he always needs to prove himself
Like, I have never actually gotten the sense that Tarrant really wants to take over Avon; he just needs to be accepted by Avon. Cause like by series D, he just became completely himbo and willing to risk his life at the wrong time and place
Also, I've noticed that he's shifting his behaviour all the damn time (no, I'm not complaining about the different writers lol), which could be read as him trying to blend in with the older figure he needs approval from
Big Finish did Vila/Cally and Vila/Avon pretending to be couple - why don’t we get two of the boys or two of the girl doing this?
They should be more brave
Once again I’m gonna scream about Tarrant’s characterization on Big Finish
Here is him on Defectors (TLC Vol. 9)
- He just began by bitterly calling Del Grant “golden boy” replacing Anna - then bitching about Avon agreeing with Grant… calm down my boy
- not about Tarrant but oh fuck the plot just opening on how they go all strategic warfare to infiltrate federation … this is dark
- Tarrant acts drunk and said ‘ I do like a man in uniform’ (a thousand of fanfiction born here lol)
- His internal monologue about his view on weapon not being something to glorify reflects my headcanon on Tarrant being forced into the Academy. Personally never think of Tarrant as a military, soldier type. He is more of a pilot
- He calls the Liberator “Home” and then just fighting in his own head about home is where he should feel safe / where the heart is
- the ending was truly weird but still they dig deep to Avon/Grant relationship and somehow we got Tarrant to narrate it lol
Is it just me and my nonbinary Avon headcanon watching Ultraworld and noticed that the ultras didn’t call Avon “male” but the “specimen” while they were calling the other by binary gender/sex
Due to them base their understanding of Avon by getting into his mind , I would just read it as Avon identify as Nonbinary
