Things that randomly disappoint me: the weird lack of fall out from Zoom's big, bad entrance. It was so serious and such a big deal, but beside Barry's usual 'Am I fast enough?' worry, it didn't really lead to anything. It's weird to me since Zoom made a point of showing him off on TV and showing the police they were useless against him, making a big deal about his broken back, etc. I thought there would be more public fear, more headlines questioning/doubting the Flash and his abilities, maybe something about that Flash drink, or this injury would last longer, more people trying to join the police meta squad, stuff like that. It's not that I necessarily super want Barry to have everyone turn against him, but it doesn't make sense to me that it was business as usual after all that. Especially since Am I enough was last season's theme.

I mean one is Barry really okay with just flat out killing someone

I mean maybe I should’ve expected this considered they had Oliver defeat Deathstroke single-handedly and Ra’s Al Ghul is dead permanently from what I can tell but Arrow has really got to stop just offing unstoppable villains there is no universe where Oliver is that cool (honestly no one is that’s kind of the point of these villains half the time if they end up dead or defeated for good its because of other villains and then they still come back after a while)

I don’t think Vandal is dead since he features in LOT as someone they have to fight and because Malcolm was all ‘mysterious speech about how you aren’t really gone and will persevere’ after they killed him

As for Barry, yeah it would seem he’s cool with it. Maybe being around Arrow’s Oliver lowers his moral meter. I think both shows do a disservice to their villains/special appearances

I think Flash does slightly better but yeah it definitely misses the mark sometimes and Arrow just doesn’t know what the fuck its doing with the comics I maintain that they legit just flip open an issue at random, point at a random character and go “we’ll use that one” and then reads the wiki page for their history or something like I honestly don’t think they read the comics at this point??

I know there was a time that Stephen didn't read them and saw that as a good thing, I wanna say it's just recently he does. It's not much of a stretch for me to believe his writers don't either. Maybe they see the comics as distracting since they've veered so far from it except to well, use a character here and there. It was kinda destined for this with its batman au origins. Womp womp

It's funny, now that there's a Barry movie coming I woulda preferred that TV flash be the one to go wild with the source
