vampworld fanfic i wrote for a friend
Bonnibel knew. She knew her secret lover couldn’t bring herself to actually kill her. As the two dove down to the spike-filled floor, she knew they’d be safe.
However, as she stared into the Star’s eyes, she noticed something was off. They were lifeless, even more so than they normally are. She realized she must’ve been hypnotized by the Vampire King.
He always hated how his “daughter” was obsessed for that pink traitor. He knew her demonic powers would be useful for his reign of terror. He was present for her in expectations of becoming a powerful ally to his side. Yet, that pink girl had to show up. She had to distract his child from his goals of vampire domination.
The King knew, however, that Bonnibel would be too stubborn to give in to his reign, that she’d try at all costs to stop him. Since then, he has planned it all, he knew she was too irresistible for the Star. He weighed the pros and cons of getting rid of Marceline. He already had the ice crown, but didn’t fully comprehend the scope of its powers. Years of experimenting later, he formed the ethereal clouds that surround Ooo, shielding all of his kins from the dangers of the sun.
He decided his power was already great enough to lead his legion of bloodsuckers. The King knew he could dispose of the little girl he “cared” for, if it meant he could stop this incessant rebel.
As Bonnibel held onto the Star, knowing her fate, impaled the heart of her forbidden love, distraught and disappointed.
Her back touched the spikes that littered the landscape. She didn’t feel anything. She dissolved into a slimy, gooey magenta puddle. The Star’s corpse dissipated into dust, then inhaled by a horde of the King’s minions, strengthening them further.
Weeks passed, and the pink puddle seeped into the ground, until it found a cave. The cave from where it had come from, the mother of all things sweet, a giant ball of gum, as eternal as ever. As it assimilated into the mass, Bonnibel was no more. No more memories. No more trauma. She was good as new, as even better than new.
That night, the Mother Gum created her first droplet since the King found Marceline. The shape was cyllindrical, with a twist on top. Bonnie was reshaped into a new life, now known as Gary.
i love this white man
Fionna & Cake Theory
Ok, so:
During the "Come Along With Me" Adventure Time finale, Simon looks through a book to get info about Golb, and we can see this entity called Malus.
And in the post-credits scene of Fionna & Cake's finale "Cheers", we can see a cube and a square morphing into an apple with a ribbon.
Now, take a wild guess on what is the scientific name for apples?
The ribbon/bow even looks like the infinite symbol under Malus' image. This concludes my PSA.
Malus also translates to evil in latin as well!
Probably was the original intention, but maybe they saw the opportunity and made the reference to apples as a funny coincidence

sorry for not posting anything, too busy being totally normal about a character
ESC Countries Opinions: Poland
Hungary with a better sense of humour but with a bit less class, that's it really. At least the polish know how to use diacritics.
To Nie Ja!: Pretty good debut, kinda set expectations too high, but it was a very good attempt, sadly Europe knows polish isn't a real language.
Chcę Znać Swój Grzech: No clue how to pronounce it, AMAZING vocal performance, i wish Poland had classier entries like this one, such a power ballad.
2 Long: My favorite polish entry and favorite 2001 entry, like, c'mon, it's such a joyful song, no clue why it deserved the Barbara Dex Award though.
Time To Party: Retro 2000s song? Hell👏Fucking👏YES👏I'm such a sucker for that type of self awareness.
Solo: I know about the whole Jann drama, but, idk i've always liked this one since the start, it doesn't take itself seriously, and it was hilarious seeing it qualify.
Stay tuned for the next country review, gonna stay in Central Europe and do Hungary or Czechia, whichever i feel more like it in the moment.
Ok so i've been reranking some ESC years since 1993 and holy shit why does 1998 have so many bops, i literally didn't hate any of the entries, even my last place is like a 6 or 7/10.
Side note, Chiara peaked in '98, Angel is cute but very boring and i despise What If We.
ESC Countries Opinions: Romania
The Ukraine of the Balkans, definitely overrated but for a good reason, almost always sending bangers with few exceptions.
Playing With Fire: Fav romanian entry, best 2010 entry, the real winner of the year, Satellite and We Could Be The Same wish they were Playing With Fire. The piano, the falsetto, the male-female duet, such a banger.
D.G.T: People just hate this entry 'cause Teodor is kinda creepy in the performance, but cmon, this is fire. His vocal style is pretty cool and enjoyable, just dont pay attention to the live performance and you shall be fine.
Yodel It!: Is this a troll entry? How good can a light-hearted entry be to not be considered a joke? Anyways the yodel parts are actually so good and the message is actually pretty neat, like yass girl yodel all you want you deserve it💅
Pe-O Margine De Lume: Why do people hate this? It's just a normal ballad, and a very good normal ballad, and the romanian language is just the cherry on top, such a classy language. I will always be a defender of this entry and it was right for it to have qualified.
Tornerò: LA MIA VITA TI DARO
Oh boy, next country will be a bloodbath in a white sky, stay tuned, or not, idk.
ESC Countries Opinions: Switzerland
First ever winner, somehow doing poorly in the 2000s, honestly i think people don't give Switzerland that much credit, even with some pretty solid recent entries.
Hunter Of Stars: Always starting with the favourite. 2014 was such a gold nugget in amidst the garbage results and deservedly so, that entry is cute and catchy, mainly the whistling and those stringed instruments.
Watergun/Boys Do Cry: Entries similar enough to cover at the same time, i just love that kind of cozy deep male vocals and i do think both are very underrated.
Répondez-Moi/Tout L'Univers: I'm a huge Gjon's Tears fan, listen to all his songs and both his entries are great, definitely should've won in 2021, adore his singing style.
Highest Heights: The extremely underrated entry of today, i used to hate his vocals but as i listened i started to love it more and more, the instrumentals are just so good, and that bridge sends me.
She Got Me: They stole this entry from Cyprus.
Oh the next country will be as simple as the three basic colours :)
ESC Countries Opinions: Cyprus
"I like it as much as chicken dipped in mayo". I like chicken but i'm not crazy for it. I don't really like mayo. That's pretty much what i feel about Cyprus in ESC, pretty hit or miss but the hits are pretty mild. Also, would it hurt to send a cypriot singer for once? Outside of greek-cypriots, even San Marino has sent more actual sammarinese people in the same timespan.
Some cypriot entries worth mentioning:
Break A Broken Heart: Yeah, that's my favorite cypriot entry. After so many "latino vibes girlbops" a nice poweful male voice was all we needed. The message may be a bit generic but that man delivers it in a pretty swell way.
An Me Thimasai: A close 2nd favorite for Cyprus, this entry is very underappreciated. Last time the country sent greek (Edit: i forgot about Ela, but honestly, who wouldn't) and it's such a powerballad. Too sad it's in a pretty forgettable year.
Fuego: Damn did this entry grow off of me so much. Before, this and Toy were pretty on-par for me, but now i much prefer the prior. Second place was way too high for this, and it made Cyprus just send the same thing over and over until 2021 (Running is actually a pretty good entry that would've broken the cicle, too bad 2020 never happened).
La La Love: THIS is the original cypriot girlbop. To be honest, before i found out its real placing i actually thought this finished in the top 10. It's such an Eurovision icon and the more recent cypriot girlbop entries are just missing that essence.
Femme Fatale: God why must i only like the underrated cypriot entries. 2008 was a pretty lackluster year but this one stood out for me. Evdokia's voice is just so fitting for the character she's portraying with her entry. Definitely a fatal lady.
Don't miss the next country, it'll be a huge plus :)
ESC Countries Opinions: Albania
Debutting with style in 2004, it used to be my stan country. As such, i'm very fond of most albanian entries, with pretty much just having the 2012 entry as an outlier.
Some notes of a couple entries from the housepower of powerful voices:
Feel The Passion: My favourite albanian entry, Aurela's voice had the power to pull it off, even after the revamp, which is pretty rare for me to like as much as the original version in albanian (i'm still mad they took Kenga Ime out of Spotify).
The Image Of You: Probably my second-favourite debut entry behind Georgia's, with the revamp being pretty on-par with Dua Te Jem Imazhi Yt. Albania is just a master at powerful female vocals since the get-go.
Suus: I get the "artsy" aspect of it, but i can't like it at all, it is my last place for 2012, i just hate those annoying high notes. I wouldn't call it "overrated", but way too many people unironically enjoy it.
Fall From The Sky: THEY RUINED THE ORIGINAL VERSION, SHAJ WAS PURE PERFECTION. Well, i guess i shouldn't be mad at a contest that didn't happen, and Karma was definitely a step-up.
Duje: Thank god they didn't make an english version, but i'm still slightly disappointed at the revamp. Even then, it is barely out of my top 10 for this year (in 11th in fact), it's a very underrated entry and i would love to see a novela use this as its track.
Stay tuned for tomorrow, it'll be as good as dipping a chicken nugget on mayo :)
Would you look at that, time for another personal top 10, today being for the 2022 contest.
Disclaimer: As i share my takes on my top 10s it should be obvious i only rank years based on the studio version of the entries (it's always the version i listen to everyday, rarely will the live performance of a song affect its placing to me).
10th 🇲🇪 Vladana - Breathe: Georgia 2023 took notes from this one, but damn did Montenegro return for a one-time bop and immediately withdraw again. Lyrics are simple so they're fun to sing along to, but girl really got herself an english dictionary (the italian bridge and chorus on the live was unnecessary but that's irrelevant for now).
9th 🇨🇭 Marius Bear - Boys Do Cry: Listen listen, i have a soft spot in my heart for calm male swiss ballads (Watergun is my 12th this year and the 2020 and 2021 top 10s will let you know my opinion on Gjon wink wink), and as much as Marius is unlikeable, i can't deny his entry fits that model and i love its message.
8th 🇦🇱 Ronela Hajati - Sekret: I have to admit 2022 was my 2nd time following a contest and with Albania revealing their entry that early i kinda have a soft spot for Sekret. It is a banger (pre-revamp, as i almost always rank albanian entries) and definitely a girlbop. Ronela our sammarinese albanian crybaby, please change your ways, i love your entry.
7th 🇱🇻 Citi Zēni - Eat Your Salad: I used to hate that song but then the more i listened the more i got its hype, i love Latvia's 2016-2023 streak so far and, as much as i wasnt expecting a qualification, it kinda stung a bit not seeing it go to the final.
6th 🇵🇹 Maro - Saudade, Saudade: We stan a portuguese sadgirl, and even the english parts were great, just overall a very good chill entry with portuguese bias added of course.
5th 🇷🇸 Konstrakta - In Corpore Sano: biti zdrava, biti zdrava, biti zdrava, biti biti biti biti zdrava, biti zdrava, biti zdrava, može može može
4th 🇲🇰 Andrea - Circles: Underrated entry alert, this definitely deserved to qualify, her voice is so strong and her song is so catchy, girl tested her limits but europe didn't listen.
3rd 🇫🇷 Alvan & Ahez - Fulenn: Diwanit Bugale pales in comparison to this, the studio version is so good and breton is such an interesting language (god help anyone who wants to learn any celtic language). Too bad the live was so jarring, that entry had so much potential but now France may be reluctant on sending more entries in languages like breton or corsican after seeing the result (even though it is such a banger).
2nd 🇱🇹 Monika Liu - Sentimentai: Lithuania and Slovenia are the only countries i didn't change at all in my first and latest 2022 rankings (Austria went from 3rd to 21st lmao) and deservedly so, i'm a sucker for the more unused languages in ESC (please Azerbaijan, send azeri already) and lithuanian was certainly top of the list to do a comeback. Sentimentai is such a classy entry and Monika is hella charismatic, 13th in the final is good by Lithuania's standards but cmon, we all know this should've been their new best result, they need a better "best result".
1st 🇸🇮 LPS - Disko: Already expressed my love for this entry on my blog but long story short THAT'S MY FAVORITE ESC ENTRY EVER I LOVE EVERYTHING ABOUT IT AND WHY THE FUCK DID IT GET LAST I LITERALLY CANT SEE WHAT WAS SO WRONG ABOUT IT TO DO WORSE THAN PIA MARIA'S VOCAL "PERFORMANCE". Cahem, yeah, we stan those boys.
listen i know opinion is subjective and i should respect everyone’s Eurovision rankings bc at the end of the day it’s supposed to be about love and unity and whatnot but people who rank the ‘fan favorite’ songs (tattoo, my sister’s crown, cha cha cha, etc…) all together in the bottom half of their list JUST to be quirky and different probably need to be psychologically evaluated.
like obviously not everyone is gonna love a fan favorite but when all of the really popular songs of the year are all ranked at the bottom….it’s suspicious like there’s NO way you dont like at least one of them
am i mad bc i saw someone rank carpe diem 26th? yes.
girl slovenia is my stan country and everytime i see someone diss any slovene entry i take psychic damage like leave my girl eva boto and my boys from LPS alone :(
i physically fell to my knees and sobbed when LPS didn’t qualify and somehow my english teacher got a hold of the video and played it in front of my whole class
feel ya there, Disko is my fav esc entry ever and even then i was expecting like a 14th in semi not LAST behind even HALO (i like the studio version but pia cant sing live)
no one is doing eurovision like slovenia. they simply are too powerful
(and now my school’s theme this year is DISCO and my prom theme is DISCO so i simply cannot escape the pain #neverforget)
i may need to consider starting an AA group but for fans of song that didn’t qualify rather than alcohol
in fact slovenia just does "so poorly" cause theyre nice and let other countries go in front, theyre so cool :)
Gonna start sharing my top 10 entries of each ESC year i've ranked so far whenever i feel like it so here's 2023
10th 🇷🇸 Luke Black - Samo Mi Se Spava: Serbia yet again sending an overrated (affectionate) banger, love the gaybop entries and Serbia's is equal parts cozy and intense, adore the dichotomy.
9th 🇪🇪 Alika - Bridges: Sometimes all a guy needs is a simple ballad, and Estonia serves exactly that, with an amazing build-up that's grown on me since it won Eesti Laul.
8th 🇬🇪 Iru - Echo: I always knew Georgia would land in my top 10 for this year, i love when their entries get unique (Three Minutes from Earth is a banger and yall know i'm right) and the "engrish" is just the cherry on top to prove a song doesn't need deep lyrics to be great.
7th 🇨🇿 Vesna - My Sister's Crown: "Sestro krasyva Oy ty syl'na Khorobra yedyna Korona tvoya" will always be stuck in my head, sisterhood all the way 💅💅💅
6th 🇵🇹 Mimicat - Ai Coração: Somehow the opposite energy of Saudade, Saudade, but just as amazing, i'm just so biased towards portuguese entries due to being lusophone, it's always nice to hear your language internationaly (even if it's the lesser version¯\_(ツ)_/¯).
5th 🇲🇹 The Busker - Dance (Our Own Party): Malta sent a party bop instead of a boring-ass entry???? This song is criminally underrated and i genuinely think it has good chances in the final.
4th 🇦🇹 Teya & Salena - Who The Hell Is Edgar?: poe poe poe poe poe poe poe poe poe poe poe poe poe poe poe edgar allan edgar allan
3th 🇫🇷 La Zarra - Évidemment: That woman and the whole of Joker Out shove in my face how bi i am, and who doesn't love some classic french vibes, yass queen you will sing the great France.
2nd 🇧🇪 Gustaph - Because Of You: Probably my most controversial entry in this top 10, but i don't care, since it won Eurosong i'm enamoured with this song, the chorus is catchy as hell and the verses are so. damn. GROOVY. And those backing singers are giving The Mamas the run for their money. Everything about this entry is great and sometimes i'm conflicted if this is my winner or not but oh well, bias will be bias.
1st 🇸🇮 Joker Out - Carpe Diem: Already showed my love for this entry in my blog so MI BOMO CELO NOČ PLESALI, LJUBILI SE IN SE IGRALI, KOT DA NAS JUTRI VEČ NE BO
