Cooking has always been an integral part of my life, and a core component of my years growing up was learning about the culinary delicacies of countries I have been blessed to visit. If you know me well, you'll know that I'm on a constant look out for traditional/authentic food because there is so much history attached to it. . . What you see here is #panchaarapaatta a food which I came to know after stumpling upon @beeciousforu Instagram page. This is the traditional food from #tellicherry a place in kerala which is also the "BIRTH PLACE OF INDIA'S FIRST BAKERY". . . This is gluten free and one of the main ingredients used is rice flour and eggs. The texture is crispy, it's not sweet and the details reminded me of #honeycomb. It is eaten by crumbling and mixing with mashed small bananas/finger bananas and sweetned with sugar and hence this is eaten as a dessert.I didn't use sugar since I felt the bananas were sweet enough for me, although I used sugar for the rest of the family. This is best eaten when accompanied by a warm cuppa of freshly brewed #chai . . #scrumptiousthoughts #foodie #arab #authenticfood #traditionandhistory #instafood #india #kerala #kannur #yummy #SouthIndianfood #الهند #كليكود #كيرلا #جنوب_الهند #كوزيكود #canon #desserts #trendingbeecious🤗 #kuwait (at Kozhikode (Calicut), India) https://www.instagram.com/p/B0aTDsDBn5K/?igshid=1kmoa4e97wnjz
